And they did it on a Tues-Fri which are workdays for most folks. No way can I make it there during the week. How about Sat-Sunday Rivian?, you know.. when working people are off and have time to do things like see vehicles in showrooms...

I used to be a bike messenger in NYC (back when riding a bicycle implied using the pedals). It took little to no effort to travel _way_ faster than anything else on the road! (Ignoring all traffic-control devices, including "one way" signs helps, of course--sorry, I was young, foolish, and rude; also, I considered myself to be immortal.) But, yeah, however bad it is usually, it's _much_ worse this week!

Yeah, I got reprimanded by a 20 year old Rivian employee for sticking my entire torso through the window to get a better look at the interior... I should have pretended I was an influencer

Your frame of reference seems to be of a typical American not knowing about the Mk1 Golf which popularly kick-started the entire genre of hot hatches. the Omni was just an American copy of the original. I’m on board with the R3X when it rolls out. My guess is that Rivian plans a quick rollout in the EU where it will sell like bonkers to Gen. Xrs reminding them of their youth blasting around in Golfs.
