After 10k miles here’s is my own personal review with real world usages on these tires!

Much appreciated since I’m planning to go with KO3s when my Pirelli OEM tires are ready to go. They’re at 8/32 and noisy with 22k.

Yea they definitely got noisy way too early. Glad this video could help!

So, about a 10% range hit compared to the stock 20”s?

Sounds about right but I was always bad at math. I was still pretty happy with atleast getting the 2mi/kwh and not losing range to what Rivian estimates their vehicles are on a full charge.

Ive seen a few owners report higher range on the KO3 with more PSI but I opted to stay at the manufacturer recommended PSI.

48psi is factory recommendation for 116 pirelli scorpions
You have lt 126 ko3 tires so you should use bfg recommended pressure for the weight of vehicle which would be higher than 48psi.

So I did ask about that when I went to Overland Expo West. I spoke to some of the guys at BFGoodrich and they still recommended to keep at manufacturer PSI even with the higher load tire. They just said to not run it above or below 5 PSI of recommended manufacturer PSI. But definitely these can hold more air, might consider going up 5 more.

Would be good additional data.
is current psi wearing the same on outer edges and center of tread?

Yes, I was at 13/32” on this last rotation all with even wear, according to the guy who checked at Americas Tire. But maybe I’ll try that out to see if it’ll wear more.

Those are good lookin tires - thanks for sharing. Please keep us posted on your thoughts.

I have 27k miles on my KO2s and I keep them at 60 PSI cold and rotate every 5k miles.

I suggest doing a chalk test with any non-OEM tire. Check youtube for instructions. I did the chalk test a couple of times and found that 60 psi was the sweet spot for these tires for my R1S. Chalk tests are fun to do with your kids.

I've been super happy with the performance and treadlife with smooth even wear. I don't take tread measurements myself, but at each 5k mile rotation I've walked around as the Discount Tire guys do the inspection and they've always been impressed with the even wear and good tread life. I make a point not to launch with these tires, but I otherwise drive relatively aggressively and I've been very happy with the performance.

KO3s look cool - that's probably my next tire. I've heard they're a bit heavier than the KO2s, not sure what the differences will be with that...

I have the KO3's on my R1T and have been running them at 55 psi. I started at 48, then 52 and settled on 55. I only have about 1,000 miles on them so far, but I have been very pleased with the results. If you ever want to nerd out on some tire tech, there is plenty to chew on with the design of these tires and I think they are a great option for those of us wanting something a lot more aggressive than the OEM tires without having to go to a mud or rugged terrain tire.

EDIT: One more thing worth mentioning is that BFG changed the design of this tire, and i is slightly different from the original run of the KO3. This review gives some great feedback on the design changes.

How quiet/noisy are they, compared to the Scorpions?

In the comments on that video, several people mentioned that the OEM versions of tires are frequently different (modified to OEM specs) than the aftermarket versions, and that this was more likely the explanation.
Are your tires like the OEM tires in the video, or more like the second (aftermarket) tires?

Thanks for the review! I'm having the KO3s installed this week on my truck.
