Hi, anyone in the Saugerties/Woodstock/Catskills area can pull me out of the mud - just got hit with a ton of rain… Any ideas on how to get out. I have the offroad tires and a r1t dual+.

Oh man that’s unfortunate. Maybe you could try making some? A quick google search for “DIY traction boards” brings up lots of videos and articles and it seems pretty simple. Maybe you could try throwing some firewood under the wheels or something like that? My thinking is that maybe it would give the tires SOMETHING to grab onto.
I wish you the best of luck and like always, Let us see some pictures!

That’s a good idea, probably should have thought of it sooner since the sun is going down

Some images of its current state. The drive modes I’ve tossed out the window and turned off stability, it wasn’t giving me all 4 wheels and felt like the front was digging even more…

Oh man! Seems like you could put a bunch of gravel in there and that may do the trick IF you could get it under the tires.

You’ll need a lot of gravel. A lot. Probably more than you could easily get back there. Instead a shovel and clearing out a ramp where you are dug in, then using recovery boards are one way to self recover. A winched vehicle connected to a recovery strap attached to a hitch pin in the trailer hitch will get you out. Good luck!

Might try gravel tomorrow- tow companies close enough aren’t open or won’t do it… Rivian Roadside Assistance keeps sending me people 2-3h away for some reason, I know they are trying, but I also live 15min Kingston NY, seems odd they wouldn’t be able to find a recommended tow company closer to my location…

I wish you well. If you can get some recover boards and shovel it will be some work - but you should be able to back out.

2x8 or 2x10 framing lumber can be used as recovery boards in a pinch. As mentioned above, digging out all 4 tires to create a gentle ramp and using recovery boards is the best solution. Been there, done that, got the muddy T Shirt.

When life gives you soggy lemons, call a T-back tow truck. They'll rig you up, leap-frog their way to solid ground, then yank you out.

If you can’t get a tow truck there to help, I would use lumber and rocks/gravel to give those tires anything to grab. Bring a poncho.
