For those of us in front license plate required states, the factory front license plate mount requires drilling holes directly in the front bumper of the R1T & R1S. ? If you don't want to have permeant holes in your bumper, be sure to instruct your delivery advisor to tell your local delivery center not to drill your bumper. Does this mount screw up surround view like the factory one does? It sounds like it does.

AS @beatle pointed out, no SnapPlate does not screw up the 360 view. It is slightly visible on the front camera depending on plate height. So is the factory drilled mount but they did reduce it's view on the Gen2.

That all sounds great, but I'd like to see the surround picture with it on in the various locations (so we can see the impact). The pics with just front view are good enough to get a sense about it.

It shows the SnapPlate installed at 3 of the 5 different heights. You can always see a small dark rectangle and a sliver of the plate shows at the highest setting only. It's not perfect, but we're doing the best we can with what Rivian gave us to work with.

Duh! Sorry, that was what I was looking for. For some reason I thought the smaller pic that shows the surround pic somehow didn't look like a real surround pic but that is what I was looking for, sorry for missing that. Looks good.

I know they say to take it off, trying to see how lazy I can be ?.

I can say I have taken my personal SnapPlate through a touch carwash without incident a few times but they are all so different and known to occasionally take off side mirrors that we recommend removing SnapPlate prior to an automated touch car wash.

SnapPlate is designed to sacrifice itself before causing damage to your grille, unlike a metal option. If touch carwashes are important to you we can only recommend the factory riveted mount.
