I believe it’s like that so when it’s in the more recline position it’s more parallel with the seat bottom. In that picture the seat backs look very vertical. Does it stay that way when the seatbacks are more reclined?

You are right. It looks parallel when the seats are reclined. I thought the kids broke it :)

I initially thought the same. It gets out of whack often because when the seats are folded back up, they lose their recline memory, and the default recline is way too upright. Design flaw, but I’ve learned to readjust after popping the seats back up.

Speaking of the Armrest, in the R1T there is a button in the rear armrest by the cup holders to open that little lid for some storage... it is absent on my R1S

Same here. Apparently there's no storage in the armrest for the R1S

There is also a secret headrest in the middle back seat in the R1T. I was quite embarrassed to learn that on this website! You pull it up.

One more pearl, under the back seat little screen is a 110V plug!! (Under the front dash is a 12V plug hidden away.)
