Gardner Nichols is driving the Gen 2 Rivian R1T in tomorrow's Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. I've always thought the race was pretty cool, but on Thursday Gardner drove me up the route and now I see how cool and unique it really is. Wish I could drive it at speed! Anyway, here's a detailed video where he drives us up the whole route (minus about 10 minutes for editing) and talks about the advantages of the Gen 2 along the way. Super cool dude! He never told me the time that is in his head but I think he's going to break 11 minutes.

I really hope they give Kyle a full unrestricted deep dive similar to the one he had with Hyundai the other day, thermals etc. I'm also curious if during these 3 stage runs in the lead up, if Rivian is starting each stage run close to where they left off thermally on the last to ensure an accurate representation of the full run. Example lower section cranks the battery thermals from 20c to 30c, will they start the mid run at 30c and so on?
