I spent the weekend in Moab on a solo camping adventure.
I decided on a whim to tackle the White Rim Road through Canyonlands - 99 miles of off roading. I completed the trail in 2 days, getting around 75 miles on the first day and the last 25ish miles on the second day.
I left Moab with 85% SOC from the Tesla SuperChargers with the Magic Dock (awesome!!) and headed out.
About the halfway point, I started to get a little range anxiety but figured, “nothing ventured, nothing earned!” And went for it.
The first night I stopped at about 75 miles in - completely alone in the middle of the desert. I was at 39% SOC. I used the outlets on the truck to power an induction grill and made a delicious New York strip. I woke up the next morning at 38% SOC and about 25°F. Amazed at almost no range loss.
I am incredibly proud of what the Rivian can do. It was an adventure and tested my mettle and the Rivian’s.
Headed back to Denver after a top off (got back to Moab with 11% SOC ?) and made it home last night!
if y’all want any of the full resolution photos, let me know and I can drop a Dropbox link or something.
