Rivian R1T R1S 1 Year, 19,000 Miles, 7,500 kWh @ 2.47 mi/kWh and 2 Service Visits... Love the R1T Daily Driver! IMG_2804

Love the R1T! My daily driver.

- Two road trips. 50:50 highway:local driving. Rivian Wall charger (48amp) in garage.
- 95% All Purpose. I only use Conserve for long highway cruising if range might be limited.
- Pittsburgh region driving with cold winters and a lot of hills. Extreme cold does impact efficiency 25%-30%
- Limited towing (zero turn several times)
- Very limited off road time (I want to do more....)
- Less than a dozen supercharger stops needed (two were RAN)
- First service was for storm damage while parked. Object fell on hood/window. Went to certified collision center.
- Second service when Groundhog was trapped in garage and chewed my front wire harness controlling cameras and suspension. Rivian had it fixed in 4 days for $500. Cleveland Service Center was awesome!!!
- I have 21s with the hubs on. I did a 5 tire rotation every 5,000 and I have a few thousand miles remaining.

I am super impressed by that efficiency! That is way above what I saw with my 20’s. Despite my love for the look of the dark 20 inchers, this is yet more proof that the wallet wants 21’s!

The average speed is only 32 mph so lots of city driving in that number. My average speed over 45,000 miles on trip A is 45 mph and I do little interstate driving. Two lane highway and county blacktops mostly. I'm on 20s but replacement hybrid tires for last 20,000 plus miles. 2.36 efficiency according to the truck. IMO speed and weather are two greatest factors.

Love the real world experience. Great efficiency with all the traffic lights in Pittsburg. What was your tyre usage experience with "all purpose?" You say you have a few thousand miles remaining. Is that 3k or 20k? Just wondering as I've been using "all purpose." Thanks for sharing. Cheers.

I have 3k-6k remaining. I think between acceleration, weight, and regen there is a lot of stress on these tires. Fronts wear faster. More acceleration power and regen force come from the front. You can see that real-time on the new drive screen (latest update). I like to rotate at 5K to keep them evening out.

I recommend using all purpose most of the time and conserve only for long highway trips. Even local 20-30 mile interstate travel I leave mine in all purpose.

What did you see with the 20s?

Just put road tires on your 20s.
