Would be cool, but entirely too expensive considering the ranger is currently the base level cheap pickup and the Rivian skateboard with 4 motors is quite expensive. That or a rebadged R1T Ranger!
I also agree on the f150, the switch to EV necessitates the switch to transverse motor arrangement, which currently has only been engineered as an independent suspension. Not to say an OEM might do a solid axle with a single big electric motor (a jeep with the main engine replaced by a big Tesla or lucid drive motor would be 5-600hp and plenty of power, but with all the articulation of solid axles plus front/rear/center locking differential currently totally absent from the prototype electric truck market. From what I've seen the software is still lacking on the independent motor or open differential front, so you get a single tire spinning up wasting energy and messing with balance, vs all 4 tires spinning together to slowly and predictably move you up the trail, regardless of wheels in the air.
