Actually, looking again, it looks like it has a seam and hinges right to left with a little latch at the front. Certainly not as slick as what they originally showed for those doors, but at least it doesn’t seem to be completely dead space.

This the vans don’t have complicated interiors or probably anywhere near the complexity in the body either. The R1 could well be delayed because they’re still ironing out issues with them while the much simpler box on skateboard that is the van is closer to ready for mass production.

they could just charge the same price for Factory delivery, and I think most any of us that would be interested in a factory pickup would still do it.
