  1. Master Thread: Review of the EV Sportline RMaxx Running Boards/Sliders (from Team 1EV)

I don't plan on adding anything to close up the holes more. The plastics on the bottom are mostly deco and aero finishes. When i took them off, there was plenty of dust in there from a couple desert trips and nothing else in the cavity that would be impacted from the weather conditions in my area.

Are referring to welding the surface plates on the rails to the body of step rails. I hadn't thought about it given that there were approximately 20 connecting the surface plates to the body. It's not going anywhere and I will check them in a week or two to make sure they aren't vibrating...
  3. Master Thread: Review of the EV Sportline RMaxx Running Boards/Sliders (from Team 1EV)

I skipped the hole saw and went with an oscillating saw to cut slots into the plastics but i also had to trim the plastics to fit the arc in the brackets connected to the frame. Took me about 3 hours taking my time.
  4. Master Thread: Review of the EV Sportline RMaxx Running Boards/Sliders (from Team 1EV)

It's all good, i am actually pretty handy on my own. So i installed them last night and they came out. Here are photos of the final product.

So I got my boards today via FedEx Delivery. They left a 8 foot long box standing on the side of my house and never even rang the doorbell but that's not EV's problem. They delivered once I got my notification that my boards were produced and I appreciate them taking the time to do it right -...
  6. RJ: Performance testing our new Rivian dual motor drive system! [Photos & Videos] 🤩

I agree and that's probably the reason they shortened it, terrible. Lol
  7. Greatest fear came true this morning - The Brick

Transportation for them is uber or lift credits. When i took mind in for service they gave me 300 in credit to use and when i picked it up, the remaining credits vanished, I'd only bused like 30 bucks should have give the lift driver a 50 piece, lol
  8. This is what an R1 hood looks like when it opens on the freeway...

There are a few options in the console related to different situations the truck might be under. Two in particular are wash mode and ship/transport mode. I am not certain but either one of these could have potentially reduce the chance of an accidental opening
  9. Do you charge the R1T every night?

We only have one EV in my Rivian right now but my wife is looking for a Hybrid BMW X3, so i have a 240v 50 Amp plug installed and purchased the NEO Charge to split the circuit between my Rivian wall charger and the eventual charger for my wife's hybrid.
  10. 20 degrees cooler inside (roof / windshield tint/film)

I had my front window, back passengers and rear done with clear ceramic amd finally the front with 35% ceramic, but no real noteable difference as i just checked and the cabin said its 135 inside. Job was 1400 at Fresh in Santa Clarita, so Will figure out how to PM you to get the roof down.
  11. DIY Tonneau Repairs? Anyone try to do this yet?

When i spoke to customer service about extending my cover fully until the redesign is complete; I was told it would take the service techs about an hour so for us novice; 2-3 hours sounds just about right.
  12. Tonneau cover issues

I agree with you on the materials used. I had my truck all of a week before the cover jammed into the sidewall so tight that it caused an indentation in the truck bed. When i sent the information to Rivian about the failure; I got an email the day of saying they are working on a repair plan for...
