Super Heavy Duty Hitch Step / Bumper Protector with Photos

Thanks for the idea! I ended up getting the one in the below link from Amazon, primarily because of the extra length of just under 26 inches instead of 12" or 18" on most other ones. WeatherTech has a really nice 24" solid billet Aluminum one but they are asking $699 for that one. The one I...

20" Michelin Defender LTX Platinum Tires review -- For all of you thinking about a 20" tire! Your wait is over!

Thanks for sharing. Just curious whether you have asked Rivian to reprogram the car so the speedometer shows the correct speed?

Check your shocks. Mine are leaking after 10k miles / 9 months.

Thanks for sharing. The bottom picture looks like caked on dirt. The top picture looks like some liquid leakage. Is the leakage oily? I am wondering if it's just caked on dirt that got wet and looks like leakage (since the pictures show a lot of dirt on other parts like your wheels and CV boots...

    Phone Contact sync...

Same exact experience with Rivian 2023.42.01 software here. It was working several versions back and then stopped. It's working again. (My phone is a Samsung ZFlip 5 with Android 13 and latest software updates.)

Driving in Blizzard with Fog Lights

Orange masking tape seems to stick better than the standard stuff https://www.homedepot.com/p/3M-Scotch-1-41-in-x-60-yds-Heavy-Duty-Grade-Masking-Tape-2020-36AP/206827411 I haven't used it for this purpose but I expect to have to dry the bar pretty well before applying. This stuff is a lot...

Driving in Blizzard with Fog Lights

Thanks for the suggestion! It would be an easy way/quick way to provide a temporary solution for those of us that don't necessarily encounter thick fog all the time.

A less painful DIY wheel swap / tire rotate

Well, I am in my mid 50s and nobody has accused me of being too young and dumb :D I do have the tire wheel dolly I posted above but last time I rotated my tires, I just lifted the wheels by hand. If you get the tires barely lifted off the ground, there is really very little lifting to do.

A less painful DIY wheel swap / tire rotate

The tire wheel cart is pretty easy to manipulate. You can rotate the tires easily while loaded to line them up with the studs. I do have a similar setup to the go-jack solution to role my project/classic car around my garage. I already had vehicle dollies from harborfreight...

A less painful DIY wheel swap / tire rotate

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HVBH1Y9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 This one works well for me. They are out of stock but looks like other similar ones are available as long as you pick the right size.

20" Pirelli Scorpion reviewed in winter/snow tire test comparison

Please report back on how they wear. I have had several winter tire sets that lost a lot of traction after the first season when they were all fantastic at the start.

20" Pirelli Scorpion reviewed in winter/snow tire test comparison

As somebody who lives in Colorado and drove to ski country regularly last season, I see 0 reason for buying dedicated snow tires for my R1T. The 20" AT have surpassed my expectation for winter handling, low noise, and wear. From experience (:D), you just have to change your driving habits...

    Phone Contact sync...

No luck on my end. I am sure my problem is because of the sheer number of contacts I have (~3k) but it was working before.

Thanks, the funny thing is that it wasn't an issue 2 software versions ago :crying:

    Phone Contact sync...

I hear you. Except when it works, it's very nice. It transfers the pictures and is very easy to use. I may try multiple phone key deletions as @Rknb2000 suggested. Mine was working fine until the update before the current one (the update before 2023.34).

    Phone Contact sync...

Thanks for your suggestion. I tried that but still having the issue that none of the favorites and some of the contacts fail to sync. Deleting the phone key option is available through the phone app under security and access.

    Phone Contact sync...

Sorry to hear that. I too have the same issue with my Android 13 phone (Zflip 5) after the last software update. It was working fine before. Only some contacts sync and favorites never do any more. I have reset the infotainment and hard reset the R1T, unpaired/paired the phone multiple times...

    Official: SOFTWARE SPOTLIGHT Version 2023.30.0

I love the garage door update but I have noticed 2 additional problems after this update. Has anybody else had any of these issues? 1. my contacts won't sync correctly (no favorites, not all contacts, etc.) even after unpairing and repairing my Bluetooth connection; and 2. I noticed the auto...

Wind noise solved at last -- using tube rubber seal

Thanks for the link, I just ordered some to seal the front door in my house. Please report back how it works for your truck. I am either one of the lucky ones with no wind noise in my R1T or I am already hard of hearing and just don't know it :D

Radar Detector hard wire, who has done it?

I am sorry I haven't gotten back to moving the fuse yet. Yes, I tapped into an always-on fuse and plan to move it to F25 TPMS mini fuse 5Amp (or F62 RTM or F63 RearView Mirror). See, attached pictures for locations. I plan to use whichever gives me the best access. And, yes the fuses used on...
