Any regrets on 20" All Terrain tires for suburban parents not off-roading?

I debated the same thing before taking delivery and I wish I had stuck with the 20". They are definitely more comfortable to ride on, they give a softer ride than 21s. I'm assuming most of the "first rides" are done with 20's because of this? I've got almost 30,000 miles on my 21" wheels and...

    It's coming!!!!

Get PPT. If not for the whole truck, protect the front at the very least. The front collects a lot of bugs and PPT protects all the paint from all that stuff.

    Driving the R1T in Canada

Since PlugShare is owned by EVGo (as of last year), I don't find it as reliable anymore. Finding Electrify American and Electrify Canada stations was hit and miss for me. I didn't try ABRP. Good suggestion.

    Driving the R1T in Canada

The Rivian navigation pulled up some Flo and ChargePoint locations but I wasn't sure how fast they were. I was looking for 150kw or better chargers. Before arriving at a charger, I like to look at the app to see the speed rating and whether it's online. I've owned 6 different EVs over the...

    Driving the R1T in Canada

As I understand it, the hotspot will be included in the first year, after that it will be a paid service. I'm not sure how long the rest of the connectivity will continue. They'll probably want your data for a while, so they can fine tune their Autonomous driving capability. Also.... I don't...

    Driving the R1T in Canada

Took the R1T for a drive to Canada a few weeks after delivery. Some things to be aware of when driving your Rivian in Canada. Most, if not all, can be fixed with OtA software updates. Electrify American / Canada, get your act together!

2022 Rivian R1T vs. F-150 Lightning : The Closest Finish in Motortrend History

Anyone who asks me how I like my Rivian, I always reply "I love it, it's 5 cars in one", meaning it's a Truck; Rock Crawler, Sports Car, Luxury Car, EV all in one. One might call it a multi-purpose vehicle that is a master of none but can do many things better than others. I love what Rivian...

    Load-sharing home setup

FYI....... I found a video of Tom Moloughney reviewing the Wallbox 48a and he mentions chargers that are load sharing compatible at 16:40 in the video.

    Load-sharing home setup

I'm not an electrician but upgrading to a 400a service in your house seems excessive. I've had my Model 3 for 4 years now and just got my Rivian. I've done a couple videos on my set-up if you want to check them out...

Using a 48a Tesla wall connector to charge an R1T

I did a quick video update. Eventually I went with a second Gen 2 Tesla charger with "Power Sharing". Charge a Rivian with a Tesla Wall Connector part 2 Also, took delivery of my Rivian after 174 days! Got 1200 miles on it already and loving it!

Using a 48a Tesla wall connector to charge an R1T

I agree, Tesla Gen 3 wall connectors state one unit per breaker however Wallbox website clearly states "Divide charging power evenly among multiple chargers on the same circuit." under "Power Sharing" on this (https://wallbox.com/en_us/charging-solutions/home) page. Something you'd definitely...

Using a 48a Tesla wall connector to charge an R1T

If you haven't already bought the Tesla charger, consider a Wallbox. They'll charge up to 48amps (the maximum for a Rivian and Model3/Y) and you'll be able to network them off a single circuit. The 2 Wallboxes will share a single circuit so you don't have the added expense of installing a new...

Using a 48a Tesla wall connector to charge an R1T

I just picked up a second, slightly used, Gen 2 Wall Connector this past weekend. I'll be installing it over the next week. I'll provide an update on my results shortly. In my research I also noticed the WallBox has Power Sharing over a single circuit. If I didn't go with the Tesla chargers...

Using a 48a Tesla wall connector to charge an R1T

Thanks for your comments. I hadn't realized that about the Gen 3s. I could do as you suggest and split the 60amp into 2 30s but I'm guessing with a 138Kw battery pack on the Rivian, I'm going to need as much power as I can get to keep it topped up in a timely manner.

Using a 48a Tesla wall connector to charge an R1T

Still waiting to take possession of my R1T but already thinking about how to charge it at home once it arrives. I'm sure I'm not the only person to own a Rivian and Tesla so I did a quick video on what I think is the best of both worlds. Brent

    Another Delivery in Seattle!

If it's any consolation, my Model 3 has the same issue. I ended up dumbing down my wifi a little so the Tesla keyboard would take it.

What Would You Like To See From Our Rivian Test? - Out of Spec

If you could test Rivian's claim on acceleration and range that would be great! I haven't seen any review that has been able to get close to the claimed 0 - 60 of 3.0 sec. How does the range estimator work, is it by driving habits or more like Tesla, based on the SOC? Please state drive...
