  1. Tonneau covers: rivian 0 for 2.

Hi Fxstein, nice to meet a fellow Rivian owner in Europe! I've driven my 2022 R1T through the Alps plenty (summer and winter) and loved it. What manual tonneau cover did you get and would you recommend it? My powered tonneau cover just broke and I'm not sure whether to try and fix it or get a...
  2. How to fix the tonneau cover

I was waiting for this to happen.... the powered tonneau cover on my 2022 R1T broke. I'm the first Rivian in Europe and looking for advice on how to fix this with the help of a local workshop, or take out the slats and replace with a manual cover? Thanks! AMJ
  3. Overseas R1S- ICELAND- SIM Card

Hi Ingo, I've been in touch with the Rivian connectivity module team for about a year but no luck unfortunately. I sent them an email last week asking to provide a toggle in an OTA update that allows the driver to keep Wifi connection on while not in Park so you can hotspot using your phone. I'd...
  4. Thunderbolt Products shipping across US -- R1T Camp Kitchen & R1S Adventure Kitchen + More

It’s finally here! I love it, have been waiting for a long time for an R1T camp kitchen! Do the modules and sled ship in sturdy, protective packaging? I’d want to ship one over to Europe but wary of international shipping handling. Thanks for letting me know!
  5. Rivian capable of 3 phase charging with minor mods?

Hi Allan88, welcome to the Rivian Europe club! I'll be organising a get together as our group is expanding...I'm in contact with Rivian on 4G connectivity - they seem to be genuinely willing to solve it but slow to respond, as this is obviously not a prio. Do you have yours licensed for the road...
  6. What's this thing? Anyone order an aftermarket spare tire yet?

Hi Frisbie, I got a flat during some epic off-roading yesterday, and since I took my R1T with me to Europe, and the spare I ordered was delayed by like 9 months, so I had already moved out of the US when the spare did finally arrive, so I don't have it. Rivian won't ship it to Europe, and since...
  7. Loud noise when approaching the truck

I noticed the exact same noise as in @Rally1's video. Thanks for sharing the fix! Anyone any idea why the grill vents have to be opening or closing at all when the truck is parked and asleep? Any way to turn this off so it doesn't drain the battery?
  8. R1T making noise when parked, locked and powered down

Yes - that's exactly the same sound that I'm getting! Thanks Rally1! Looks like I'll need to lube the vents :like:
  9. R1T making noise when parked, locked and powered down

I noticed my R1T makes a noise when parked, locked and powered down/asleep. The last time I heard it, it was plugged in to my home EVSE but not actively charging. It's coming from the front, but I was not able to pinpoint the location. It's hard to describe what it sounds like; a bit like...
  10. How I brought my bricked R1T back to life after importing to Europe (Netherlands)

Exactly - the truck had to be driven out of the container and onto a trailer so needed some juice
  11. How I brought my bricked R1T back to life after importing to Europe (Netherlands)

That's right. Hope this info helps others in case they ever find themselves with a bricked R1T!
  12. R1T connectivity questions

Hi everyone, I'm trying to get my R1T cellular service restored here in Europe and get local maps downloaded so I can have access to all kinds of features I'd love to have restored, such as navigation, listening to the radio, using Spotify on the center screen, and using Alexa. customer...

That's great you shipped your R1T to Europe too! let me know if you have questions on registering - to register it here in the Netherlands was a whole project in and of itself :)

  15. How I brought my bricked R1T back to life after importing to Europe (Netherlands)

Hi everyone, Last summer we decided to move back to the Netherlands, after having lived in California for 7 years. We had just gotten our R1T and were definitely still in our honeymoon phase, going on multiple camping trips, so after some soul searching, we decided to bring the truck with us to...
  16. Exploring Europe in my R1T

Hi everyone, I'm super excited to share that I've successfully brought my R1T back to life after the car importer had let it die.....so I can now go and explore Europe! I'll post more about how I revived it later (update: see thread here), but wanted to share that we've just started a youtube...
  17. Rivian capable of 3 phase charging with minor mods?

Hi everyone, I'm the happy owner of a Forrest Green R1T Adventure Package. In fact, I liked it so much, I decided to bring it with me to Europe. I can't wait for the truck to be fully certified and good to go so I can explore the adventures Europe has to offer! I successfully hooked up my...
  18. ⚠️ Rivian Recall: insufficiently torqued front upper control arm & steering knuckle fastener [official torque value = 90 lb-ft / 122 Nm]

Thanks! You might have missed this in my message but my R1T is with me here in Europe, so having Rivian perform the recall work is not an option. I could not find an Amazon link in this thread, but I guess you are saying a standard (not stand) torque wrench that is properly calibrated and has a...
  19. ⚠️ Rivian Recall: insufficiently torqued front upper control arm & steering knuckle fastener [official torque value = 90 lb-ft / 122 Nm]

Hi everyone, so I'm the guy that decided to bring my R1T with me to Europe. I'm super excited and can't wait to drive it here. My truck is also impacted by the recall. I have not had any issues driving it in the US (no drifting to left or right or any clunks), but I'd want to torque the upper...
