Pros and cons to each in my experience. With a hidden winch: It stays cleaner, more protected, but it's a proper pain to know if you're making a big bound up mess when spooling in.
One mount I had made it impossible to get at the clutch... never again
It’s good stuff. I’m considering trying to get one of my Seattle coworkers to meet up for this group buy and hold onto a case until the next time I’m out there… that’s how good. ?
Was the “is it concentrate” question ever solved? It looks like a dilution chart on the back label, but need more...
The functionality in question was "when it was a full-screen, single app experience".
That's decided by the vehicle mfg, not Apple, whose concern is the experience within their app.
Because that's what this is: two competing interfaces.
Anyways, it was a joke about "CarPlay fixes everything"...
So I have to keep buying new vehicles to get this updated CP/AA experience?
Got a 2021 that is as you describe, and I can all but guarantee it is not getting any OTA updates.
In my neck of the woods, when the power goes out, the gas stations are out of commission too. EV is a step up, in that we still have solar and a petrol generator.
Now, one of the vehicles I parted with in exchange for a Rivian, was a Mercedes turbodiesel with a WVO conversion… is electric there...
The biggest surprise in this list is that I seem to be overlooking something about the Kia Telluride.
11,xxx range R1T has been super solid, tonneau still works.
I always had Adventure chosen, because ventilated seats are a non-negotiable for us.
Anecdotally: I'd pay even more for a "real leather" seat option, but wouldn't choose wood trim or a glass roof. Too bad 'a la carte' builds are a thing of the past.
At the very least, I think it would make a...
I haven’t seen this one yet, so:
Anyone else have a rattle from the large grille on the dash that butts up near the windshield?
It sounds almost like a rattle from behind the driver-side display screen, usually brought on by bumps, potholes or poor road surface. But it can be stopped by...
Press around on the grille of the speaker that is there. Mine makes a noise like you describe over bumps, and that led me to poke at it.
I couldn’t reliably reproduce it when in for service, so it’s on the to-do list for next time.
I think you’ve managed to come up with a VIN-length identifier and make it convey less information than a VIN :CWL:
R1S, Quad Motor, perchance Large Battery Pack, probably 7-seater, 3 Row, K…. I give up
This was actually one of the value propositions for me when buying an R1.
Even without the software, it’s a very capable platform that’s worth modifying - someone will do it, regardless of how Rivian treats us.
The last time this topic came up, it was exciting.
Now that we know they don't plan to bring a winch to the R1 platform, does this patent mean bad news for an aftermarket option?
