All y’all taking out the middle seats to go on adventures, but I’m just trying to take them out because my kids managed to open a milk bottle and spill it right where the seat track cover blocks access to a carpeted area, which immediately started to grow a mold patch.
Emotional rollercoaster but I’m okay with this.
I took delivery a year ago and I’ve had a fantastic experience and got the early bird discount. By the time I’ll even consider replacing it, it’ll hopefully be time for Gen 3 with a real sound system and 800V architecture to ship.
Can add to the chorus here. It’s especially annoying when I’m holding a baby in one arm and trying to keep their older sibling from running into the road with my other arm. But it was only good for a single update earlier this summer. Otherwise I’m always frustrated with the phone key function...
i hate to be the bearer of bad news but I have two Clek Foonf seats which are supposed to be roughly the same width as the Diono (ie also three across in an M3), one forward and one rear-facing, and tried this but just could not make it work. The issue is not that you can’t put a carseat in the...
???
The Maverick is on infinite backlog, Ford was so overwhelmed with demand beyond their projections. The hybrid version has been wildly popular.
S and T will both be money printers at the R2 level, but T is where the wildcard upside is.
Glad you wrote this. Was clicking on the last page of comments taking a deep breath like “ah, how do I phrase a sensible argument in favor of valuing mental health in the workplace” and found you did my work for me.
Also an elder millennial, fwiw. I’m very quick to burn the candle at both ends...
It shouldn’t be unpopular, was my first thought too. Kudos to you for not repeating it until it was publicly announced but this is dangerous for him. I assume Rivian isn’t Apple where he’d have the KGB hunt him down and yeet him into the sun, but at lots of companies this is shitcanning worthy...
Goodness, I just bought a Model Y and live in Chicago, and the width is unnerving in everyday driving to the extent I’m a little concerned about my R1S preorder. You must have some excellent driving precision.
Funny enough we’re in a neighborhood that was majority Belgian during its peak growth...
Hi neighbor! Idk I’m ok with NW or N burbs but W is such a pain to get to. Either surface streets forever south to 290 or roll the dice on taking the freeway (sorry, CA transplant) through downtown.
FWIW for people in this thread: I saw an R1T in Logan Square a couple weeks back! Blue with the...
As long as it isn’t in the [land]. I badly want to see Lucid in person but I’m not dragging my butt out to the western burbs to do so. I would for Rivian but by golly I’d be hopping mad as I did it.
Article is paywalled but seems to indicate Rivian bailed on this! ÂżQue paso??

Yikes, I haven't gotten mine yet, April 2021 R1S order, but I expect a 2023 date, which, if confirmed, means I'm out. Wife won't wait that long, I've already strained her patience with our little car for too long. Hoping some folks drop out before I have to make the final cancellation at the end...
Am I nuts to think that Elon’s stunt to drop TSLA’s price was an effort to co-opt momentum and algorithmic investors into undermining the Rivian IPO’s day 1 performance?
I mean, we all know that wouldn’t be below him…
Not sure about silver but I’ve configured mine with white. Dark green and white is I think an aesthetically pleasing combo, moreso in the case of Hunter Green (think classic green Land Rover with white steelies) but I expect it to look good in this shade as well.
Wow, I thought you’d have to get a doctor to do that for you but I guess with all the adrenaline from seeing the Rivian in person you could handle the pain.
Oh definitely, the implication was that any permitting was being done outside the city and that’s why it wasn’t showing up in the city database (or o was failing to find it but I looked for a while and would be surprised if I missed it).
A little surprised no media outlets have picked up on it...
Almost entirely positive this won’t be the service center. The permits for the renovation (which are addressed to the Sangamon side for some reason in case anybody else wants to look them up too) don’t have any of the necessary conditions.
Given how far along the service centers are in other...
