This is intended to be a fun exercise, and right now there's no wrong answers, lol.

Assuming Rivian performs/executes exactly as the S1 forecasts (forget drastic external influences such as supply chain, COVID, etc. cuz anything is possible), what's your price prediction range FROM NOV 10 IPO PRICE ($72-$74) 7 days after IPO on Nov 17, 3 months on Feb 10, 2022, and November 2022? Feel free to justify your prediction, or not.

My prediction:
Nov 17, 2021: -5% to +10%
Feb 10, 2022: -15% to +20%
Nov 2022: -10% to +35%

I see enough upside potential to get in on the DSP, I'm willing to risk/accept a significant loss - possibly as much as 50%, but I don't expect that.

I think:
Nov 17, 2021: + 10% to 25%
Feb 10,2022: + 25% to 50%
Nov. 2022: +50% and higher

This is assuming they actually start making serious deliveries. I know these numbers are not logical based on actual profit but that is the modern market. I think if they are a smart company they have a series of announcements ready to help the price sOOn after the IPO. I plan to buy in pre IPO and will see where it goes.

My only hope for any of those dates is "not zero." My system can handle crazy swings but I'm not in the mood for bad surprises.

I think we all want positive outcomes and any variation of them are all good.

I think the enthusiasm of owners will drive strong demand for Rivian’s. From all the First Mile feedback so far, I would guess more people will want Rivian’s after they have been in one.

From the first S1 information on theater of reservation holders to the updated one already shows high interest.

Should be a fun ride both in the Rivian and with the company/stock….

Am I nuts to think that Elon’s stunt to drop TSLA’s price was an effort to co-opt momentum and algorithmic investors into undermining the Rivian IPO’s day 1 performance?

I mean, we all know that wouldn’t be below him…

Not a big Elon fan, but no. I think he was dressing up his need to pay a bunch of taxes as some sort of silly fan-populist thing.

This. He didn't want it to appear as a money grab or lack of confidence but he has a huge tax bill looming ahead.

I think it will DOUBLE the same day it IPO's. That is if it is $72, I think it goes to $150 -$170 min. Then the dump will drop it back to about $90 and it will stay there a long time, probably until this time next year when they have earnings to report.

Theres already a fairly compelling twitter rumor that the offering price is going to be raised again.

There is not enough upside, in my opinion. The stock will open high and go up for a day or two. Then next week it will be down 10% Next month, I think it will be down 25% and hover around there until significant deliveries occur. Next year, it is all up in the air. How will Rivian production perform in 2022? That will determine the market value.

Not sure how many shares I will buy right now. I guess I'll just flip a coin. Remember, the stock market should only be played with money you can afford to lose! Rivian stock will not make any of us rich!
