  1. Would you pay $495 for your frunk? Mach-E buyers will have to

As a Mach-e owner who bought the car at the end of our 3 year lease, it's a very well built and fun to drive vehicle. But...there was so much de-contenting that went on between when we ordered the car and finally took delivery that I'd have a hard time buying another. Jim Farley, "car guy", is...
  2. Efficiency test: mounting ski box over R1T bed vs. on the roof

Nice mod. However, for me and my vertically challenged family, our skis fit in the gear tunnel! :p
  3. UHF (Universal Hands-Free) Rivian Autonomy driving videos - real world test

I appreciate Rivian's focus on "safety first." That's not the vibe I get from Tesla. The WSJ report on their FSD, which you can find on YouTube, reflects an irresponsible approach that puts people at risk.
  4. Snow Tires - Hakka R5 vs R5 EV?

I love my R5's. Brought me over a very snowy Berthoud Pass last Christmas with no problems.
  5. Del Norte, CO RAN chargers

Appreciate all the tips. Yes, I realized too late that I should have pre-conditioned. I'm in a Gen2 TriMax R1T.
  6. Del Norte, CO RAN chargers

Stopped in here to charge before heading back to Denver yesterday. Chargers are easy to access and things connected very quickly. However, I could barely crack 100 kw/h when charging and this quickly dropped to about 80. I had about 50% charge at the start, and did not pre-condition, but still...
  7. Colorado Checking In

Still waiting on my tax credit to get resolved from my Dec '24 purchase, despite my tax accountant banging on the State. Promises of a credit mean nothing if their system can't even recognize our vehicles.
  8. R1T with iKamper mini 3.0 safe for carwash?

While we had our Air Cruiser mounted over our R1T bed, I just used the regular wand car wash. I think there was guidance on the Air Cruiser/Cynch site to avoid automatic car washes. Although it has a canvas cover so makes sense.
  9. What'd you name / nickname your Rivian?

Thomas… as in the tank engine!
  10. Quad R1T takes 3rd place in Corkscrew Hillclimb at Laguna Seca

Nice. I've been through the corkscrew multiple times going the other way on an AMG Driving Academy day. What fun!
  11. Wind Noise from AirCruiser RTT - Is there a recommended wind deflector?

Good to know. I haven’t noticed the noise driving around Denver since putting my Air Cruiser on last week, but headed up to the mountains on Thursday, and will keep this in mind.
  12. Traded in my '22 quad for a '25 dual performance...

The infotainment system is limited to playing David Bowie.
  13. Recent Apple Music fail?

Mine seemed to work for a while after the last update, but now is crashing repeatedly again. I get RJ wanting to own the experience, but you’ve gotta make it work at least as well as CarPlay, or, well, you own the friggin experience dude.
  14. TopoCharge for Gen2 Rivian Vehicles with New Harness and Aluminum Air Compressor Flap Holder!

I want to give a shout out to Steve and the Soonish team. I purchased a TopoCharge for my Gen 2 R1T and when fitting the new tray back into the center console one of the back tabs broke. I reached out to Steve, and he responded same day (on a Saturday no less), and sent a replacement tray...
  15. Positive Denver Mobile Service experience

Had a great experience this week with the Denver Service Center's mobile service. I had the window moulding separation issue on my drivers side rear window. Brendan showed up on time, and repaired it quickly. He also generously tried to fix the clip on my front passenger floor mat which...
  16. Contact Sync Bug makes Phone Integration Useless

It's always curious to me that once I start to type in someone's actual number, it shows up on the screen, suggesting that things are being saved somewhere. The bug seems to be in that it automatically defaults to the sync screen.
  17. Is there a way to manually open a powered tonneau?

Always glad to help a fellow fly fisherman!
  18. Is there a way to manually open a powered tonneau?

Hard reset plus tonneau reset (3 short presses + hold on the button) fixed mine. Seems to have been a bug introduced by the March update, supposedly fixed in the latest update.
