Overall, this is a great kit, that makes installing a sub significantly easier than having to custom build an enclosure and source the cables. Instructional videos were very helpful, especially pointing out clip locations (those two under the seat belt anchors are a pain).
I did a few things...
I'm close to 19k miles on the R1T since taking delivery last September, and have just completed the longest trip so far. With a little help from my Rivian guide I managed to get a cracked windshield replaced just before leaving. I also had 70% ceramic tint installed on the roof and new...
In Michigan we have moved from the season of ice and snow to the season of road construction, which involves liberally sprinkling the highways with small rocks. You can tell where this is going: rock hits R1T windshield last week, I go to get it filled before the crack spreads, my local auto...
Just completed a 600 mile drive during the recent snowmageddon - the R1T performed very well with the 20"ATs in snow mode, averaging 1.73 mi/kWh @ 51 mph (70-75 on cleared dry highways). The Rivian All-Weather Mats less well: they do an excellent job of ejecting salt water from the back corners...
I hand washed the truck this morning to prep for some mild paint correction before ppf on Monday. Discovered a substantial dent on the threshold to the front passenger door. Sent the photos to my guide. What would you do?
After much waiting, and a false alert where tragically my assigned VIN (102xx) was sent several states away, I finally picked up my second assigned VIN (108xx) R1T from the Michigan SC (which was the original Rivian HQ) yesterday. Truck has 72 miles at delivery, so clearly was used for...
I ran 4 AWG THHN in 1" metal conduit to my garage for a little future proofing. It did not cost that much more, but will let me run a dual charger, or a higher current charger down the road without having to pull new wire. I installed my Rivian charger this afternoon and had a pleasant...
8 steps just opened up for me with VIN 102xx, still a 2022 model year (with AT 20s so they must have a new batch in). I‘ve signed the contracts etc, but not uploaded insurance coverage as I don’t have a delivery date, and have not paid anything beyond the $1k deposit. For those of you that...
