I did Fins 'n Things & Hell's Revenge solo in my Rivian yesterday. HEAVY pucker factor. I can safely say that the 21"AS tires did very well - almost no slippage at 45 PSI (didn't feel the need to lower the pressure even though I was totally planning on it). This was my 2nd time rock crawling...
Due to timing, and the fact that I don't care to be in So. Utah when it's 110F (unless I'm on a boat - won't get into the state of Powell, aka "Lake Puddle). I'll be there until Wednesday, avoiding the chaos of Thurs - Sun. I've posted on Bronco Forums and they seem to be welcoming of the RIV...
My wall charger stopped working last night. A breaker reset and hard reset of the truck fixed that. But after numerous attempts to connect wall charger to wi-fi, it's not finding/ connecting. I've done all the usual troubleshooting and am usually pretty good at these things. All I get is "no...
I'm seeing 3 different versions of the R2 on Google Images. Which one will it be? From a strictly investor standpoint, I prefer the 3rd version. This general style is hyper popular (Q5, Macan, X3, etc), at least here in Utah. The 2nd photo looks too much like a Chevy Avalanche IMO.
In the spirit of the whole Apple Car Play & Android Auto rants, I really want to get the wristband that my "concierge" originally told me would be available in the shop. It can't be all that expensive for Rivian to order 20,000 of these and sell them to us suckers for a stupid amount of money...
Take it FWIW:

I, for one, don't see this happening with Rivian, but I'm quite certain that a number of others will go "tips up"...
I took my R1T to the SLC, UT service center about 3 weeks ago for myriad things. Mainly for realignment of the gear tunnel doors that weren't opening until the 3rd or 4th attempt. But also for a tire rotation, a clunking noise I'd heard a couple of times, etc.
I'd had an excellent, extremely...
I'm spending a lot of time at my 2nd home and installed the latest update last night and the proximity key's range increased. It's locking and unlocking with the key at quite a far distance inside my house. Wondering if anyone knows how to add a 2nd location as home via the screen controls. I...
Sorry to admins if this is in wrong section. Quick report:
Although I have numerous 150/350kwh chargers nearby in Bear Lake, UT and Evanston, WY, I do not have a 11kwh wall charger at my 2nd home in Bear Lake. I tried using my included 110 AC charger earlier this winter when it was bitterly...
FWIW, my 21" wheels/tires performed VERY well yesterday while towing 2 snowmobiles to my buddy's ranch yesterday @backcountrysnow.com . Pretty much, some of the worst conditions possible with mud, snow, and ice. Very few cars/trucks on Chalk Creek road, but one guy had slid off the road into...
Maybe this has already been discussed. But I normally keep my car keys on the table by my carport door. Once the proximity lock/unlock in the FOB was activated in a recent update, I noticed my truck would randomly unlock and lock. I now have to keep the keys in a other room, farther from the...
So I had a chance to extensively test the interior heating in temperatures below 10F. I was in northeastern Utah for the last two weeks where daytime temps were in the single digits to low teens and nighttime temps were anywhere from 0F to -20F. It was cold in the cab while driving anytime...
We took then snowmobiles out today. I drove from SLC, UT to Evanston, WY very early this a.m. and it was -11F when I rolled into the EA station at Smith's grocery in Evanston. Truck was at 90% departing SLC and was about 35% when I got to Evanston. I was towing two, heavy 800cc sleds with the...
#1 - Please, please, please let the truck be drivable with the driver's door open. It drives me crazy when I go to do it and it goes into park. I'm used to doing it a lot when positioning vehicles, backing up to trailers, etc. Cameras are nice, but after 30+ years of driving, it is just wnd...
Just charging up to head into 40k private acres of fresh Utah pow tomorrow in north slope Uintas. Two 800cc sleds in tow. Will post updates manana. Shout-out to my bro's snowmobile tour company...best in the Rockies...short shuttle from Park City or an hour from SLC. Backcountry Snowmobiles...
I just noticed this on my R1T. It has been sitting, supposedly asleep, Gear Guard off. There is clearly some electrical activity around the rain sensor. Thoughts? Also, a side note picture: I sure wish I could do this with my wiper blades.
Even though I've seen several of the Amazon vans in California and at my local SC, I finally saw one in my neighborhood. And it actually stopped at my house to deliver some goods as I was pulling into my driveway in my R1T. I said, "nice van!" to the driver and he responded with "nice truck!"...
Just an FYI. I'm sure many of you are aware, but charging from a home Rivian charger is significantly slower in cold temps. Here in SLC, UT, I've still not finished charging from 61% to the set 85% over the last 4 hours (currently at 83%). It's been about 37F here the entire time. In summer...
Just sharing. Front wheel(s) started creaking yesterday...high pitched, metal to metal screaching sound. It's fairly loud and quite concerning, especially being 800 miles from home. Happens when just starting to go forward and/or reverse. Added to my 11/18 appointment ticket. I'll try to...
