Is the autonomy included in the price? From reviews the iX3 autonomy looked good and if that is “free” then that helps close any price gap with upper trim R2’s.

Not sure you can compare a several year old (design wise) large ICE SUV with a new, smaller EV SUV.

Understand what you are saying but Tesla is already highly valued and needs to execute to perfection for years to grow INTO their P/E ratio.

Interesting interview with RJ that starts at 15:25. Follow on from their podcast last week focused on R2. Mentions possibility of licensing autonomy platform to VW. Also a good discussion of market positioning.

I didn’t catch that one watching, I think he said (or meant to say) all colors are available - which is different from included (which would be no cost). We will see when the configurator comes out.

What will be interesting is reviewers like himself, MKBHD and Doug who will review the R2, iX3 and EX60 what is their relative ranking and do they all agree one of these is the best.

Black was not popular for the R1 either when looking at the parking lots of the service centers. I am surprised they changed LA silver and El Cap Granite with very similar replacements. From a simplification with R1 I thought they would align - unless R1 changes pin to those colors.

This also applies when comparing to the iX3 and EX60 since both could well be cheaper for paint and interior colors which would decrease any price differential.

No I experienced it and got rid of my tires at 20k. Also several other owners on here and I believe them. Glad it worked for you but don’t dismiss others experiences that don’t tally with yours. I will also add that the loaner I had which had 17000 miles on it also had terrible tire noise.

The current version of ADAS for R2 will have much more headroom than version 1 ADAS did for R1 so no real impact until 2028/2029 at the earliest.

Agree the version 3 of ADAS (only thing that changes on the R2 between 2026 and 2027) will not see much difference through to 2028 or 2029 since RJ said in recent interviews that L4 will be late 2020s or into the 2030s.

“Gen 3”’is only the third version of ADAS otherwise everything else is the same from a June 2026 to a June 2027 build.
