Under $700 increase for 6 mo on Progressive. This is inline with our other vehicles for our coverage and situation. R1T, R2, Tesla MY three drivers including teen.
I had my exterior home charger on plugshare, afaik everyone has texted me before use.
I had a neighbor that had a lighting and asked me to use it, and I said yes. He then had a friend visit with a Tesla model 3 who used it for a week even though there are superchargers everywhere in every...
I have to jump from insurance to insurance every few years.
This year we jumped from AmericanFamily to Progressive (and previously was Travelors and previous was Progressive). AF doubled twice on us, and moving (back) to Progressive dropped our auto from over $8k/year to $2.6k/year (before...
I got Progressive insured no problem, make sure to say model year 2027 and use the VIN. If you use 2026 it won't find a match. I made that mistake first but then realize the year mistake when getting a quote from Rivian.
Under $700/6mo (three drivers including teen). 500/250/100...
Just wanted to say, really appreciate the mods that cleaned up this thread to really make the conversation factual and on point.
I know that's a thankless and invisible job but makes reading the forums more informative and enjoyable.
I totally expect this comment to be reported and taken...
Ordered today, Austin, close to SC, Day 1 reservation within first hour, current R1T owner. CC/black/21" w/ spare.
Perfect timing for us as we needed another vehicle for the growing household.
For someone that has only driven EV without ICE experience, no regen induces a short "omg we are careening out of control" feeling.
Most drivers new to EVs will feel regen as herky jerky. Those new to ICE will fair much worse in control, smoothness, reaction time, and safety.
Took my wife for a demo drive, I didn't drive. Got a good 20 minutes and they were efficient at getting folks in and out. Nothing new to add that hasn't been said or covered before.
Fit and finish were good, build quality looked/felt good. Riding passenger felt comfy and quiet from road noise...

Yep, understand everyone's needs and wants are different. I would also prefer to wait if we could but we need another vehicle by August, hard deadline (new driver in the house getting the old vehicle and start of school).
It's just by chance the R2 release potentially aligns with ours, but...
I personally think the comms from Rivian has been good and consistent and timelines well covered and on track.
That said, I too feel annoyed about the rando 2026 non owners same city getting invites already on day 1 week 1. It doesn't feel like getting prioritized. I do understand how it can...
April Fools!
Mine says July, so here is hoping! Although I don't think time reserved will really be the major deciding factor that everyone thinks.
I was pretty late reserving an R1, but received it earlier than even the most talked about influencers "skipping the line." Maybe just due to...
Not sure everyone is talking out the same thing (OP kneel mode vs changing ride hights), but did you try clicking the greyed out button?
From the release notes:
Enhanced Kneel Mode
Getting in and out of your vehicle just got a whole lot smoother. We've redesigned Kneel Mode to be more...
As discussed earlier, that would only be true if there wasn't a ramp/limited volume or true if delivery volume is larger than leases ending soon. Even if delivery volume exceeds leases ending soon, it can only limit the pool of availability/volume for everyone else.
In any case the wording...
