Mine is much better. It did unpair the phone key during the botched install. But once it was running again I paired it and it’s been great over the past 24 hours. Prior to this (once I got the iPhone 15), I had to start taking my fob with me everywhere. No more.
They were able to manually push the update to my truck. So it’s up and running again now. Glad they called before doing so, to make sure I didn’t need to drive soon
Just spoke with support. Apparently engineering is still working on a fix for the fix, that will allow people in my (and previously your) situations to still get the update.
Meanwhile, I just got a very attractive lease offer on a 2024 iX M60. Tough call here...
I'm very happy for you. My SC takes an hour and a half for me to get to, so I'm not about to do that. They still haven't called me back after my last chat this morning.
I totally get that. But I've literally never had as bad an ownership experience as I have with my Rivian, and I've owned like 20+ cars in my 30 years of driving.
Right, you never know. And a lot of Rivian owners have had much more reliable vehicles than I have. But overall I think I'm just done with "new" manufacturers for now. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, though, I had a Model 3 (early build, too) for 4 years and the thing was flawless...
For me this is just the last straw. I've had this truck for 14-15 months now. I've had to visit the service center like 6 times, which means at least 3 hours of out of my day for drop off and pickup. I've had to drive shitty rental cars each time for about a week. The hardware and software...
An hour and a half later and still nothing. Back on with support, and this guy is saying it won't force the actual install, they can only force pushing the update to me so I can initiate it. So I'm explaining to this guy that I CANNOT initiate it. The button is grayed out. My god this sucks.
I just got off the phone with them again. They asked for my authorization to remotely push and force install the update. I said yes. I’ll see where things stand in about an hour
This is what happened to me to! It’s still not installed. It unpaired my phone key and I don’t know why. I did not uninstall my app or anything like that, the pair key just unpaired itself. So I've just called support this morning and now have to wait for the software dev team to show up for...
They think it’s just installing on its own without my telling it to. It’s been over an hour and no changes so far, so I’m not feeling great but whatever
