  1. Ok Denver/Utah-- who made it through last winter with the 21" All Season's? How did they do in the snow?

Took delivery in late Dec 22 and drove it skiing to Winter Park 4-5 times. One time over Berthoud was pretty nasty and I've never felt so secure in the snow. I had a fair amount of anxiety after reading this board before delivery but it was a champ every time I drove it in the snow. I've...
  2. Vampire drain - what's the latest battery % loss people are getting?

Not using anything, just noted the charge when I left and the charge when I got back.
  3. Vampire drain - what's the latest battery % loss people are getting?

4 days away last week, 2% loss the entire time. 4 days parked at a trailhead while backpacking in August, about the same loss. I used to be getting 2% overnight so I'm pretty happy with this.
  4. Michelin Defender LTX MS2 tires in 275 55 R21 -- Not coming

It is vague- almost seems like the CS rep just searched their inventory and didn't see it.
  5. Michelin Defender LTX MS2 tires in 275 55 R21 -- Not coming

Got this back from Michelin CS, apparently this one isn't in the works so no new option here for the 21's. Anyone heard differently?
  6. Manual Tonneau Cover- how do you like it?

I was in the Denver Service center yesterday and asked about the auto cover fix. They told me late Oct is what they're hearing now, but also mentioned that you could swap it out for a manual one. I'm considering that (one less thing to go wrong) but I've never seen one live. Anyone have one...
  7. 2,800 mile road trip - surprisingly easy

Yes- St Louis Through Paducah, Nashville to Knoxville. We didn't rush it, took 3 days each way and charged 2-3 times per day. Quite honestly the charging stops were refreshing (even though many of them were at Walmarts) and I wasn't nearly as fatigued as I usually am after a road trip in an...
  8. 2,800 mile road trip - surprisingly easy

We were able to find one in Nashville (stopped there for a night to check It out) and one in Knoxville. You can filter in the airbnb app to include an EV charger. No luck finding any in Kansas :)
  9. 2,800 mile road trip - surprisingly easy

We drove our daughter to Knoxville and UT from Fort Collins, CO a couple of weeks ago. Planned things out using ABRP and PlugShare along the way and really didn't have any issues with charging. Used EA at a lot of Walmarts through Kansas and Missouri, a couple of ChargePoints and level 2's at...
  10. What'd you name / nickname your Rivian?

Jolene, cause she makes all the other trucks jealous.
  11. Curious towing experience

OK, I feel better now. I talked to Rivian service and they basically told me the same thing as above. Range estimates go up and fluctuate currently while towing, but she said that was "normal". Glad to hear it'll be fixed s00n. -Fort Collins has definitely changed, but it's still great...
  12. Curious towing experience

Towed for the second time yesterday, pulling my boat and trailer back from winter storage. It's only about 25 miles and the total weight is about 3,000 lbs. Hooked up the trailer with 229 miles of range. The switch to tow mode automatically adjusted the range way down as expected, but as I...
  13. Maybe won over a few EV skeptics by running my R1T at a driving course

Totally agree Brian- and I wasn't trying to give the impression that age or politics dictate that, but I would suggest that these days It seems to play a role. I would have loved to go grab a beer with the last guy and have a good rational discussion about it. I've done the same with my Dad...
  14. Maybe won over a few EV skeptics by running my R1T at a driving course

Every 3 years I have to take a driving course because I have a fleet vehicle for work. Had it last Thursday at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison and I thought I would take the R1T to see how it does. They put you through a bunch of cone drills to demonstrate ABS, cornering, using mirrors, etc...
  15. How expensive is your registration?

Guessing you don't own a home then? Seventh highest property taxes in the country in your state, third lowest in mine. They always get you somewhere.
  16. What might I "lose" if I opt for one of the R1 Shop trucks?

I grabbed an R1T in the Shop about 5-6 weeks ago. It was similar but slight different from my original configuration. Shortly thereafter the truck I chose in the Shop was damaged in transit beyond repair so I had to wait. Basically I was waiting for a configuration like the one I chose in the...
  17. How's this for bad luck

Kinda funny, my guide was walking on eggshells explaining that they tried to fix it but determined it was beyond repair for a new delivery. I wholeheartedly agree- I don't want it delivered with so much as a scratch :)
  18. How's this for bad luck

Yeah. The only thing the one I grabbed from the shop didn't have was the full size spare. Should get that now and yeah, a new VIN. Probably a win in the long term.
