I did not disconnect the line. You'll need to get it out of the foam to see the filler plug. Foam is just friction fit into the housing.
I wedged the pump between the tire and wheel well and bumper trim to get access to the fill hole.
Made a filling tube with funnel and parts from a brake...
I'll have to dig up a picture I took of it. But no further disassembly is needed once you get it out of the foam shell. The reservoir tank is the round plastic tank on top with a small hex plug, you remove the plug and fill it with a tiny funnel and a piece of tubing. It's a slow process as the...
It's all about the small medium large sales tactic to make you purchase the highest trim level as it looks like a bargain compared to the lowest trim level.
I'm with you on this it's not about business, If you were purely thinking from your business point of view like Rivian is you'd be ecstatic about a new propriety jacking point as it would mean more adapters to sell instead of people reusing their existing R1 adapters.
I'll believe it when I hear it, their track record for sound quality isn't great, this is the same group of engineers who thought out of phase speakers sounded good for a few years.
R2 being cheaper probably means they cheaped out on the speakers and amps to get to a lower price point...
Yet another reason why I won't be returning to Rivian once I'm done with the T, this company is just so hostile to 3rd party / DIY things. Just doesn't fit with how I do things, next thing you'll find is some crazy pentalobe screws everywhere.
I'm assuming you are using built in Spotify App through connect+ so may not be same as mine. Streaming from my Samsung Galaxy it just lowers the music volume during the chime but song keeps playing.
Has anyone done the cape cod sand dunes on 22s? Thinking of doing it this summer and was interested in some tips like what PSI and ideal time of year to go and anything else that would be helpful.
Or should I just invest in some 20 inch Ram wheels and off road tires?
It's a ready made solution for premium priced vehicle for those who don't want to be bothered. Every Rivian branded accessory or part is priced like a premium product so nothing shocking here.
You could always go find your own aftermarket one that fits or just live without one.
Well I'm done here. Majority of people will not be able to tell the difference between Bluetooth or hardwired especially since the rest of the system can't reproduce the frequencies that are getting compressed but you do you and carry on with your quest.
I'm confused here, if your intent is to use the iPad for everything, why wouldn't you just connect audio with Bluetooth and call it a day. Doesn't make sense to lose the steering wheel controls for volume and track changes.
Most of the Rivian infotainment features work fine without connect+
Move on, Rivian does put some capabilities behind a paywall while some things do work with Wi-Fi. Most new capabilities are going behind the paywall, C+ is not expensive and if you find yourself using the data enabled parts often it is worth it.
I personally do not use all those things...
are the sensors clean? I think there were some that had water intrusion into the sensor connectors but if still in warranty then let Rivian deal with it.
Yes efficiency drops off quite significantly in the winter shorter trips are the ones that take the biggest hit, but a lot of variables will be at play here. Are you parking in a garage? charging overnight? Charging at work? How hot do you like the cabin? If you start off with a warm battery...
As others have pointed out you'll still want a set of pucks. I always pre attach magnetic ones every time I go for a state inspection or tire service just so there is no confusion on jack points.
Yes you will need jack pucks but tricky to get jack stands under there. There is a thread on here that discusses how you can lift from opposing corners to get jack stands under the others.
