I think it amounted to 1.2-1.5% it wasn't huge but something is always better than nothing.
Bringing it back to thread relevance.
I looked into the width of various AT tires before I purchased with these coming in as the least contact patch, which theoretically would mean better highway...
This right here is the truth.
The tire itself matters than the size of the wheel.
If you look at the 22" wheel as an example. The way they were able to get increased range isn't all from the range wheel, but the tire selection - going from the Pirelli Scorpion Zero to the Pirelli Scorpion MS...
I miss my convertible top more.
@EVSmartTruck
Any chance of engineering a gasket to the carbon roof and some sort of pin/latch system so that it’s removable? Bonus points if it fits in the spare tire well.
I had a Pro and a Lariat.
1) Everything. The car will walk you through a lot of it vs the Lightning leaves you to figure it all out.
2) Deployment is spread out but we’re talking days to weeks not months like Ford. Some randomness to it, priority given to subscribers for production...
If you're switching diameters, you really should change the spare too. At a full inch difference, I personally wouldn't ride on a different spare but it can still work in a pinch but it'll affect things like the traction control in thinking you've got one wheel spinning faster than the others...
The EPA range is based on all purpose mode on the 21" Range wheels and tires. When you go to the 20" ATs that EPA range drops to ~274-289 depending on configuration. In the same manner, going to 22" on the OEM Pirelli Zeros drops it to EPA 299 miles, but going to the OEM Pirelli MS increases...
After going back and forth between the Hankook Ions and the Goodyear, I ended up pulling the trigger on the Goodyear when I found a 25% off coupon directly from Goodyear - not affiliated, just used google. (TIREHUBSAVINGS) They ended up being $318/tire for the Goodyear vs $282 for the Hankook...
Why did you do this to me? Now I need to buy another camera and see if I can somehow rig it to run 35ft to the back of my trailer when it’s in tow. It’s a feature I miss having that I had on my Lightning.
Sigh, these are some of the problems with the way things are developed - I bet you don’t develop payment systems. The supercharger itself doesn’t need the membership information, the payment system does. It doesn’t even need to membership details, only to validate eligibility of the membership...
It's programming...and they already have some basis for it. If you go into your Rivian app you'll see a section for "Charging Account" It lets you associate your ChargePoint account.
If they wanted to make the effort, it could very easily be adapted to link to various providers, including...
Idk what to tell you. Perhaps we have different methods then or the fact that we're on opposite coasts, cellular networks, my build is earlier than yours, etc. but it happens to me quite frequently,
All my other vehicles Plug and Charge can either be disabled or specific networks can be...
This happens to me all the time. It's an annoyance that Rivian doesn't give us the membership discount and then it becomes a juggling act of trying to prevent the truck from overriding the Tesla app initialization. I found the best way to do this is to simply remove the payment method from the...
My ADHD is preventing me from following the super long post..
But the features are behind a paywall. Putting the car on WiFi - without isolation, does not enable it.
The paper specs don’t tell the whole story. Having owned an EV9 I can say that it’s significantly easier to access and FEELS larger and more comfortable in the 3rd row for an adult. Having owned a Model X, I can say it’s the opposite and feels significantly tighter than the R1S.
The wiper goes swish swish and not swoosh swoosh. So it’s swishing when it should be swooshing.
Ideally it wouldn’t be just a swish or just a swoosh but a swish swoosh, but every 3rd swoosh should be a swish. So then it’s a swoosh swish.
I mean come on, it’s right there.
Don’t mind him, the weight savings matters for me and potentially others. 22lbs is 22lbs. For some of us, we’re towing rigs and payload is on our minds.
Does it matter enough to get me to run out and replace my intact glass roof? No. But when it breaks, I’m more likely to pick this up than my...
