The world has been listening to claims of how close and capable and safe FSD is since something like 2017. Betting on a vision only approach is a huge bet, IMO.
Honestly, their progress would be a whole lot more impressive without the ridiculous claims and the costs of the FSD package itself.
FSD seems to only get farther away as we get "closer"
Heck it appears Robotaxi program isn't even using front bumper cameras, and can be trapped in a paralel parking spot under the right conditions. They just had to move the safety driver to the driver seat finally?
The reality of being...
The wheels are the same, but the tire changed for Gen 2 22 sports which is where a small increase in range may be coming from.
Honestly, I doubt you'll notice anything.
Super odd view on this whole thing to be honest. Anything can happen to the car while it is being transported. No matter what brand of vehicle it is, things happen in the background and things get replaced. I guess this is why the industry shys away from telling the customer....
Dang and Tesla is better? Not in my experience.
It's a car. An inanimate object. Getting a new part. So it's done right for you.
Good luck at Tesla and hope you find some perspective along the way.
The Raven might be peak Model S. I appreciate the 2021 refresh's widened body and slightly nicer interior, but the Ravens somehow felt like they were built with more care and had more of a sleeper vibe.
For as smart as Elon claims to be all the time, if Tesla made the R1 sisters, which they TOTALLY could have, Rivian would never exist. Glad he's so smart.
Not sure people cross shopping an R2 and a 4Runner will be doing so on off road capability. It's also hard to compare a body on frame, solid axle trucklette like the 4Runner with the unibody independent suspension R2. Seems like it's more competition for Wilderness spec Subaru's or similar...
Depends on how many people you have with you, but for myself and the wife and our dog, we remove the 470's second row seats which allows 5 foot 10 me plenty of room in there and a full size air mattress fits perfectly. Now, if you're going with more people I can see why that is impossible haha
Looks like an awesome time. You should check out Copper Harbor and High Rock Bay if you have the time to deviate when you're in the UP. The Porkies are pretty rad too.
The dynamic glass is a little cloudy even when it's in "see through" mode. That would be one give away.
Not sure I'd let two different glass colors when viewed from the top of a tall car ruin my ownership experience though!
The $1800 destination fee covers the original shipment of the vehicle to its intended center. The transfer covers the second move. Your vehicle must be coming from somewhere other than Normal.
Agree with above. Don't buy any car on FSD promises, Tesla taught us that one a long time ago.
If you're going to make the switch do it for the extra refinement, better lights and cameras, etc.
You can still access all the same DCFC you're using now with the appropriate adapter as I...
Self driving cars are better than us until they aren't. That's not to say they won't continue to improve, but in my large amount of time behind the wheel of AP and FSD, I find them untrustworthy. In some ways, I feel more anxious letting these systems drive for me, rather than just driving...
