  1. Mark Rober teases R2 modification

I don't dislike him for it at all. I'm sure he was a little mislead by them, and we all do things for a payday that we might regret later.
  2. Mark Rober teases R2 modification

sure did backfire as they filed for bankruptcy in December
  3. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

The shareholder fans love this because everyone tiny bit they squeeze out is more profit and that matters more than having a good product as long as sales don’t drop significantly (they have dropped for the past couple years but that doesn’t matter because robots)
  4. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

Every time I want to park my Cybertruck in a tight place I wish I had some USS because the 3D rendering view is DEFINITELY not anywhere near as accurate for distance. It will show me as touching something when I still have a foot of space.
  5. Looks like the Main Stream Media is starting to wake up - and realize the R2 is a home run!

Oh, there are plenty - think of pretty much everything from Nissan, Toyota, VW, Honda. None of them make me go “Wow” in a good way or bad way. I will say I think the new Prius is actually a nice looking car which is surprising since they’ve been historically so ugly.

FYI I had this happen with Tesla FSD just a couple months ago. I don’t know how it’s completely preventable.
  7. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

I’m 5’9”. Unless there is a tool box or the truck is a low rider, no I cannot reach anything from the side of a pickup. I just climb up on the tailgate to get stuff out of the bed of any truck. Seems like a weird non issue to me. Even a Maverick would be hard to reach things in the middle for...
  8. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

That’s fine as long as you understand you’re basing it on not actually using it and just what you see on the internet 🙂
  9. Looks like the Main Stream Media is starting to wake up - and realize the R2 is a home run!

Surprisingly my lifetime average over 15k miles (two winters) in my Cyberbeast is 400 Wh/mi (2.5 mi/kWh). I thought for sure it would be worse. I agree that R2 will probably surprise people considering its shape vs a Model Y
  10. Looks like the Main Stream Media is starting to wake up - and realize the R2 is a home run!

I’m waiting for Kyle and Tom to do accurate testing of range. Everything else is noise.
  11. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

I can’t reach in the side of any truck without climbing onto the tire and stretching. That’s such a weird thing to try to argue about. I took my rear view mirror off because it has live camera view on screen all the time which can see way more than a rear view mirror. Do wish the camera was on...
  12. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

You have obviously never driven one. It’s great at all those things. You’re repeating talking points of other people who dislike it and have never driven it. Two of the wraps I’ve designed are on Cybertrucks that have been off road for months in places like Moab. Edit: the orange and blue ones...
  13. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

Sorry but Cybertruck is actually an amazing vehicle to drive and use as a truck. But the brand has been obliterated and everyone associates it with Elon and politics now and the cost is too high for mass adoption anyway.
  14. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

if they make it look normal and it starts at $50k instead of $79k like Cybertruck and don’t use the cyber name it would do well. Cybertruck is completely destroyed from a branding perspective. signed, Cyberbeast owner for the past 18 months
  15. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

Nah, it will barely make a dent IMO. Just another Model Y trim. They should have made a proper SUV if they cared about US sales.
  16. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

Would it really? I think it would just draw from some Model Y sales. I can’t imagine a lot of people are on the fence about Tesla thinking “I’d love to buy a Model Y but only if it were 8” longer”
  17. June 9 - R2 order invites, first customer deliveries and demo drives begin!

My first Model 3 was black interior (only option at launch). I got white for my second Model 3 and absolutely loved it. Felt way more open inside. Both of my wife’s Model Ys have been white interior and if it had been an option my Cybertruck would be too. Black interior feels too closed in and...
  18. June 9 - R2 order invites, first customer deliveries and demo drives begin!

If not for coastal cloud being later I would probably get launch edition even though every logical part of me says not to
  19. Self driving update: Gen 2 and Gen 3 Autonomy on R2 should be similar for a "couple of years"

but for everyday manual driving it sucks so bad! Cybertruck wiper stream adds another layer of suck to the equation too
