As a Tesla owner, a Hummer EV owner, a future Rivian owner and also a 37 Raptor owner. This is all too premature. A ban on gas vehicles is at a minimum 25 years away. It's so much more than infrastructure on my mind when I make that statement, because infrastructure is just one huge component...
It's there, and I believe it to be a mistake. If it's not a mistake, I'm p sure there will be some angry people here. Thus I do not believe this to be an accurate representation of facts.
I do not understand why you think this email suggests a delay for you what-so-ever. OC may be causing delays for Adventure preorder holders (like myself) and thus this is preemptive.
No, you're not understanding my post. If they are batching by color and wheel options then obviously it makes sense to throw in Adventure packages with LE. If they are making Blue LEs and they have black mountain blue adventures.. line em up..
It goes hand in hand with seeing Adventure packages being shipped concurrently. If they are batching orders by color and wheel combinations it makes sense to blast out some adventure packs while they can.
My electric coop has a $20/per month subscription service. As long as I charge in the off peak times it's $20 per month unlimited charging from 9pm to 9am. Between those times it's .20 cents so a bit pricey but still far less expensive than my 2021 raptor 37pp with its 12mpg thirst of premium fuel.
Hmm.. I'd imagine then yes ppf + ceramic is a must + likely 20% tint all around such as in Texas. I have 30% all around where I'm at and 50% on my windshield purely to protect the interior from the sun.
There is nothing outside of hail that would hurt or ruin your Rivian by keeping it outside. Unless your city dumps salt by the gallon on your driveway for some reason during the winter you can leave it out there without concern.
Now that said, if you get a lot of rain followed by sunny skies...
Can you manually precondition the battery at any time? This is important for winter range. My Tesla takes a huge hit in winter driving (I'm in Minnesota) and see weeks at a time at 0 or below sometimes a bit above.
Here is the thing though with preconditioning and Tesla.. there are 2 types of...
Wheels and tires are upgradable. Getting the offroad package isn't(wasn't), and the tow hooks are mandatory for any vehicle of this caliber. But separately from that, it's for looks. I have a 21 new gen3 raptor 37pp, a 21 ford bronco first edition, and a 23 hummer ev that will likely arrive...
Supply and demand has nothing to do with someone 4 years ago placing a $1000 deposit and at this point finally needing to write a $80k check. Constraints on various parts, batteries et al again has nothing to do with competition in the market place, new products that have reached market, new...
I don’t think it's fantasy for you. Rivian even at the prior price point was never going to convert 100% of preorders to deliveries. A very conservative estimate which may be generous is 30% cancel. With the badwill with price increase + the Lightning/Hummer/Silverado/Ram EVs on the true horizon...
I'd wait for the next 6 months for white interior to be honest. If you were that early of an order and have to switch to black, that makes me think virtually no one has ocean white. That's good news for me and separately if Rivian takes on the Tesla model of limited refreshes then the only thing...
