Day 1 reservation, current owner of two R1's, with primary residence 2.5 hours from a Service Center. No invitation yet. All in due time....
Best wishes!
Every easy solution has at least one potential drawback.
A "stop now and pull over" button could facilitate domestic/dating violence, or could lead the car to misjudge a safe place to pull over.
Sometimes there's no substitute for a human observer with cameras and good judgment.
Best wishes!
@rch_sc: If it's an NMC battery (everything larger than Standard), consider leaving it plugged in, with maximum SoC set between 50% (for optimal battery health) and 70% (safety margin against discharging, and more useful right away after you return).
When you return, it should be drivable...
A whole new meaning for "The calls are coming from inside the house...."

We're pretty good about foreseeing and avoiding deer, but nobody's perfect.
If one of our R1s collides with a deer or elk, the Rivian will likely be totaled. But I'm pretty confident we'll be OK.
Best wishes!
Not sure if you'll pay labor for inspections or not, @DKM_R1S. Consider talking with the service advisor at your Service Center. They vary in knowledge and understanding (Portland SC is excellent), but they should at least try to give you reliable information.

What I learned from members...
My interactions with Plaid have all been through financial institutions, not straight between me and Plaid.
Financial institutions trust Plaid, which may have been around longer than Venmo or Zelle.
Best to all!
Given those materials, I would agree that the suit isn't completely meritless. But given our experience, I wouldn't say it has much merit either.
After two "Demo Drives" in late 2023/early 2024, I concluded I wouldn't want to use the then-current version of Autonomy+. Because of test drives...
Loyal State Farm customer (for decades) here, @aak7268. Include your local State Farm agent in the pricing/bidding process.
State Farm also issued enough insurance documentation, before we took delivery of our R1S and R1T, to satisfy Rivian that it was safe to release our vehicles to us.

@JRock, consider driving your usual vehicle to your Physical Therapy appointment. Then, as the therapist evaluates your physical issues, she or he can check out your vehicle, sitting position, etc.
There are far too many pain sources, and far too many potential adjustments/cushions/bolstering...
Portland (Oregon) is the same for routine appointments. What keeps me calm is the knowledge that if it involved safety or potential stranding, they would get me in much more quickly.
Best wishes!
@LivingInKaos, you have been a "class act" throughout -- both in this forum and in service to Oregon's Rivian community.
This is a good reminder that all of us can contribute to @LivingInKaos' GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/f/support-julies-recovery-and-ease-her-medical-burden .

Agreed, @BCondrey! Service is a very complex system, with lots of moving parts. "Service is great" and "Service sucks" have one thing in common -- neither statement is actionable.
Specific to my experience with various components:

I was at the Electric Avenue in downtown Portland, Oregon this spring and saw Portland Parking Bureau had ticketed a charging customer for lacking a front plate.
As far as I could tell, the driver hadn't done anything else wrong. Just lacked a plate.
So, at least in Oregon, you don't have to...
Our 2023 R1S was built in November 2023, and we bought it new (10 miles) in February 2024. I have no way of knowing when it left Normal, but I presume it was shipped directly from Normal to Portland..
Perhaps @CharonPDX meant "built in 2023" rather than "shipped in 2023."
Tough crowd, huh...
State Farm here, continuously since 1990 (if not earlier). My experience with claims has been excellent.
Here's the one time I had to advocate for myself: In 2007, our new Toyota Sienna was stolen from our driveway. When it hadn't turned up in a month, the State Farm adjuster said she would...
