Thank you for the update. I just ordered my set about 2hrs ago, but I also just received the targeted email about the updated part. I just wanted to confirm that I can disregard the email because I'll be receiving the updated center block, and will not need to purchase a 'replacement part'. Is...
As another note, anyone storing (and/or transporting) a set of wheels and tires, should get these tire covers from Amazon: https://a.co/d/12QKexO
I have used them for transporting a full set of 22's inside my R1S, but their main use is storage of whichever wheel/tire set that I'm not using at...
FYI:
Their install prices for Atlanta and Van Nuys locations are as follows:
Boards/Steps only with 4" round hole: $199.95
Boards/Steps only with "L" slot cutout: $499.95
Sliders: $399.95
NOTE: I had an early pre-order, so I was able to take advantage of the reduced pricing and free...
Nice facility! I'm closer to this service center, so they should redirect me there the next time I need service...assuming they ramp up service there. I'm so tired of the 60mi (almost 2hr) drive to the Costa Mesa service center, as well as the service rendered there.
This is EXCELLENT! Thank you to both OP (@Kelvn ) and @RWerksman for all of your efforts in developing this and bringing it to market for the rest of us! Can't wait to get my hands on a set when ready!
The solution discussed in the thread that @BrentInCO posted includes the main component of that solution, which is the Kuat Pivot v2 swing out. Conceivably, if you could find a different standalone spare tire carrier (different from the eTrailer carrier that I presented in that thread) that has...
Sounds like you had a very similar experience to my last servicing at the Costa Mesa SC...with the multi-week delay in actual service, and then the subsequent endless weeks of "we're working to diagnose and resolve the issues...". I dropped my R1S off at the service center back in October, but...
You can see in the video that @DuoRivians posted...the shop was testing different wheels and tires on the CT. When I was there, they were actually in the process of scanning the CT inside and out, as well as trying new wheels. They had also just wrapped it.
The Cyber Truck is definitely NOT my cup of tea, but the one in that video is actually the same CT that pulled into the shop at T Sportline in Van Nuys as they were finishing up the install of my R1S sliders earlier in the week. That was my first up-close with the CT, and it was a cool...
@EV Sportline...
First of all...I LOVE these sliders so far, but now that I have the sliders installed, I am curious as to what your recommendation is to jack up the truck WITHOUT jack pucks. In your initial, and other subsequent versions of the sliders, I believe that it was stated that...
TLDR:
Sooooooooo....after just over a year from preordering the EV Sportline R1S sliders, plus installation in the Van Nuys CA shop, I got them installed today!!!
Preorder Date: 11/25/22
Order #: 22xx
Shipping notification received 12/5/23 (I immediately called the shop and scheduled an appt)...
Thanks for posting this because saw that the spare was FINALLY available, but my eyes popped out of their sockets after I saw that listed price. Also sucks because I just had mobile service today. I would've postponed it so that I get my spare brought to me and 'installed'. Welp...I'll be...
I think that @iansriv was referring to you potentially making a key fob cover that highlights the various buttons...ie: colors the lock, unlock, frunk, lift/tailgate buttons to make them stand-out from the black cover.
Great to hear! Looking forward to the R1S sliders after a years-long wait! Hopefully my number will be called very soon!
BTW...I'd be MORE THAN HAPPY to "help" by "letting" the Van Nuys shop use my R1S as one of its first few customer installs!!! Hit me up, I'm flexible!!!! lol ?;)
