  2. R2 Three Day Ownership Review. Comparison to R1T. Efficiency and Range data!

I’m not aware of wheel well covers but have never looked. Glass roof is same as R1 and I feel little need for a shade. We have a nice fold up one from a 3rd party supplier and use it sometimes.
  3. R2 Three Day Ownership Review. Comparison to R1T. Efficiency and Range data!

We picked up our R2 on Monday the 29 from the Minneapolis service center. https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/picked-up-our-r2-this-morning-june-29-so-far-so-good-vin-1588.60782/ We now have 263 miles on it including the 165 mile home-to-cabin trip we do frequently for which I also...
  4. Picked up our R2 this morning (June 29). So far so good. VIN 1588.

I also have an R1T which came with the Pirelli all seasons. I got 35.000 miles out of the 3 different sets (I have 100k R1T miles under my belt). I like the range and the ride/performance of them. On the lighter R2 I’m expecting more than 35,000 miles. Given the up charge for the 20” AT...
  5. Picked up our R2 this morning (June 29). So far so good. VIN 1588.

I concur. Don’t fear the Pirelli all season tires.
  6. Picked up our R2 this morning (June 29). So far so good. VIN 1588.

They were “ok”. I’m planning on getting separate wheels and tires for winter. I change and rotate tires myself. I just got a set for the R1. I got Continental Viking Contact8. I’m hoping that tire is going to be made for the R2 as well soon.
  7. Picked up our R2 this morning (June 29). So far so good. VIN 1588.

I’ve had several sets of the Pirelli tires on my R1T and liked the range and ride. They are spendy but I’m willing to live with that. I now have the Defender tires on the R1T and overall I prefer the Pirelli.
  8. Picked up our R2 this morning (June 29). So far so good. VIN 1588.

Yes. All gaps look nice. Everything feels nice and tight. Planning a long drive Wednesday, efficiency info coming soon.
  10. Picked up our R2 this morning (June 29). So far so good. VIN 1588.

Picked up our R2 this morning (June 29). So far so good. VIN 1588. About those hatch buttons….. we really struggled with the back lift gate at the service center. It was getting a bit awkward with the Rivian guy. It worked for him no problem but not for us. We said, well we will figure...

Yes, a bit strange. I’m on board with the waiting for software update theory. No intel, just conjecture. I’ve completed all the sales steps. Have paid in full already, have independent insurance in place. No delays on my end.

Just picked up my R1T, no issues found with the 45,000 inspection. Took a photo of my soon to be R2. Asked the service person about intel on R2 delivery, she said as a service person they have no insight as to sales deliveries.

Just dropped off my R1T at the Minneapolis service center for the 45,000 mile comprehensive inspection. Drove around the lot and saw our R2 with VIN 1588 sitting on the lot. I have not received word on a pickup date yet. There were at least two others with lower VINs there as well.

  17. 20" Inch Looking to switch from 22s AS to 20 ATs … advice

I've driven the stock all season's for 3 years (21" and 22" on two different R1T's). I got a set of 20" Nokian Outpost nATs for a very specific off road vacation. I got separate wheels for them as I didn't think I wanted all terrain tires on all the time. I had the nAT's on over this past...
