Oh yes, absolutely understand and in agreement about the mileage on the current vehicle and it being a year old. Even if they are depreciating the value for this, I definitely still view that as a win so I’m with you here.
I’m actually not sure if they are just replacing it. The support person mentioned the vehicle being a “trade in” so not sure if it’s valued as a used vehicle.
Again, I posted this here because I had questions not answers :)
Oh, got you. Yeah it’s much more important to me to have a working vehicle. Again, I’ve never been through this before so was just trying to get an idea of what a manufacturer (specifically Rivian) would do.
Everyone I’ve spoken to at Rivian has been very helpful, just light in details.
I received my R1T something like 14 months ago. Long story short, it has gone on for service nearly 60 total days, has been damaged multiple times at the service center, and still has ongoing issues.
I reached out to Rivian a month ago requesting they repurchase and replace or I would go...
This happened to my R1T. They replaced the "forehead" body panel between the windshield and the glass roof. My truck stopped leaking from the roof...but started leaking on the drivers side floor.
They fixed an "A/C drain leak" which stopped the water leaking on the floor, but now every window...
After months of dealing with this and multiple services visits, I continue to have water issues. My recommendation (not joking) would be to insist it's taken into service within 7 days or threaten to lemon law.
Call service and tell them you need to get in for high-pri water intrusion issue as you live in Seattle. Had this same issue, they replaced the body panel between the windshield and the roof.
Holy cow! That is terrible!! Very similar to what happened to me. They replaced the body panel between the roof glass and the windshield on my R1T (I think they called it the 'forehead').
Oh man. This exact same thing just happened to me in my R1T! Glad I saw this thread. Can you share any more about where specifically the seal was that wasn't good?
I should mention - wasn't in a car wash but my truck was sitting on the driveway all night and it was raining.
