Ok this picture is interesting. That van in the middle is a Toyota Hiace (Notice the steering position) which to my knowledge is not available in NA.
Let the conspiracies fly!
Ah ok. Thanks.
I am lucky, my dealer is only charging 2900 for Freight and PDI.
The price is surprising to me too, even the European price is more expensive than here. The M50 starts at 110K pounds in UK. I guess BMW figured the Europeans would buy the i50 but need an incentive to move it here.
@kvenom Can I ask which part of the country you are in and which dealer?
I put in a reservation in January as well and was told to expect to be called up early Q4 2022 into 2023. But it looks like BMW might be ramping up the iX production.
With the recent bout of videos Bjorn posted about the iX I am more convinced about the M50, and starting to like it even more.
When my slot is called for the iX and Rivian is still not ready I will be happy to go with the iX.
It looks like Rivian does not have a significant supply/manufacturing issue that is preventing them from delivering trucks, if they can pump out vehicles with a 6-month turnaround. So, their motive at this point is very suspect, personally it feels like they are doing this to pad their numbers...
Personally, I have no confidence they will start making Canadian Deliveries before Q4 2022 if I am being optimistic, but realistically it's going to be Q1 2023.
We also do not know how many employee deliveries they have in Canada before they even start with us commoners, who have given Rivian...
I personally liked the Polestar 2 ad the most.
Clean and Simple, while taking a shot at all the big players without taking a shot at them.
No Empty Promises. No Shortcuts. No Colonizing Mars.
Gee wonder who that was aimed at :D
Yeah, good point.
Although legacy automakers have never been about constantly upgrading the feature set or adding new functionality once a specific model is released. They hardly make any changes., they do the occasional map upgrades or very rarely upgrade a UI firmware upgrade. So, this has...
FSD is 10K CAD, so it's still a bit cheaper here.
And I am one of those idiots too :D
I have a Model S LR on order and felt like I needed add the FSD option.
For the price of the Model S, adding FSD didn't seem like a deal breaker.
Not saying it's worth it now, but I do like the gimmicks it...
