Our EG4 batteries that power our house have built in fire suppression. I wonder if that tech is possible in an EV pack. Probably not enough room and too much weight. Our batteries are about 280lbs each.
We bought a Tri mostly because it was about 6k more than a dual performance similarly equipped and we figured we'd get it back at resale. The long range and max range dual are stupid quick as is. We hardly ever use any drive mode other than all purpose. If we had to do it again we'd either...
No way to answer that question until/if Scout makes it to production. Current status is SUV delayed until 2028 and truck until 2030. We cancelled our deposit. I think EREVs are an answer to a problem that doesn't exist and hopefully Scout just releases BEVs.
Hyundai's/KIA's ability to move the car forward or backwards really was handy for us. I regularly backed our I5 and Santa Fe hybrid out of the garage so I could move stuff around. Rivian could easily make this happen with control through the app.
Our cars have been registered in Montana for past 12 years. Haven't put a front plate on in all that time. We keep the front plate under rear passenger floor mat. Never been an issue. MT 5.0 have better things to do than pull people over for not having a front plate.
IMHO front plates look...
Glad it's fixed to your satisfaction. You could have fixed that yourself for $90 and have a nice obital, cut and polish compound and a paint chip repair stick left over.
I'm just a few years younger than you but I'll have to disagree. When a car manufacture markets their vechicles with promised of future mprovements and features through OTAs I expect just that. I'm pretty happy with how our G2 R1S has improved. Not at all happy with our Sierra EV. Haven't...
Had the same experience last week on I-70 East in Kansas around Abilene. Disconnected on a slight curve and I had to take control immediately. UHF was unavailable after that. Tried a couple brief off ramps exits and lock from the car with no luck. Hard reset fixed it (didn't try soft or let...
Our G2 R1S stereo has greatly improved since delivery, and I think it's a good system. But I have to admit when I get those Launch Edition R1T loaners that Meridian sounds insane.
I think it won't kneel in park because it will stress your suspension. If I raise or lower the ride height of our G2 R1S when parked in the garage I get an unpleasant sounding pop when I put it in reverse. Best to change ride height or kneel when moving IMHO.
