  1. Auto Mode Suspension at highway speeds

Mine was checked by the Rivian mobile service tech who did the rotation, with a tread gauge - for that potentially small of a difference, I don't trust eyeballing it ?
  2. Auto Mode Suspension at highway speeds

Low mode at highway speeds is also more energy efficient, which is why it does that in Auto mode. I'm 12k miles in in my first 9 months of ownership, mostly highway miles, and no significant wear on the tires so far (just had them rotated and checked recently).
  3. Tesla Cybercab Robotax unveiled... Cyber Coffin anyone?

There's actually a whole company that launches rockets, they don't really need him at all. I have a couple of friends who work there, it's packed with smart people.
  4. How many others still only use 110Volt portable charger at home?

More of a "don't ask, don't tell" situation. Our neighbors have been surprised we're getting permits for our kitchen remodel which is absolutely required ?
  5. How many others still only use 110Volt portable charger at home?

Same, yeah. I have the level 2 EVSE sitting in my garage with a 60a breaker but haven't wired it in yet. Need to stop traveling for work so I have some time at home to get it done ?
  6. Aftermarket HORN Upgrade Options?

For those of us who tire of the clown car horn, but are not interested in air horns/confusing people into thinking we're driving a semi, has anyone seen/tried a good upgrade option that just sounds like a real truck?
  7. Rivian native podcast app?

TuneIn absolutely supports podcasts in the native app, you do not have to stream via Bluetooth unless you want to. I prefer PocketCasts so I stream via Bluetooth, but not because I have to.
  8. R3x 2 door Convertible(or larger panoroof)?

This is exactly what it would take to get my spouse to switch to Rivian. She drives a convertible Mini Cooper at the moment and is absolutely not willing to go back to a permanently mounted roof after that experience ? We were just at the Pasadena Rivian Space where they had the R2 and R3x tour...
  9. Does your golf bag fits into gear tunnel?

I had one of the rotomolded Golf Guard cases that fit perfectly, but I upgraded to a much nicer SKB case for flying with my kit and it just doesn't quite fit anymore ?
  10. Lectron Vortex adapter doesn't like the heat

Yep, Lectron recommends plugging the adapter into the truck first, then plugging the Tesla connector into it. And reverse on the disconnect, remove the Tesla connector from the adapter first, then remove the adapter from the truck. This has worked flawlessly for me several times (when the...
  11. Lectron Vortex adapter doesn't like the heat

A cutoff switch definitely matches my observations. I didn't see any notification about charging being limited, the error message I got said that the cable was not fully connected, and to unplug/try again, which implies that the truck knew there was something connected but not correctly.
  12. Lectron Vortex adapter doesn't like the heat

My experience with it so far is that if the adapter is overheating, it essentially disconnects the charging pins completely - so limited speed is likely coming from the Tesla dispenser itself. I've seen multiple people mention Tesla having that issue with the older, non-liquid cooled cables, so...
  13. Lectron Vortex adapter doesn't like the heat

For better or for worse, that's a feature, not a bug. Increasing temps cause an increase in resistance to electricity, and increased resistance causes increased heat. That can snowball and you'll end up with melted adapters at best, and damaged vehicles and DCFS dispensers at worst. Make sure...
  14. Lectron Vortex adapter doesn't like the heat

Yeah, for now I'm keeping it in the underseat storage in the back, with all my rachet straps, until I come up with a better idea
  15. Lectron Vortex adapter doesn't like the heat

tl;dr - the operating temp on the adapter is -22° to 122° f. Do not store your adapter in the frunk in extreme weather and expect it to work. A couple of weeks ago I was on a road trip (Inglewood to Bakersfield and back). Having already tested my Vortex adapter at a Tesla Supercharger I was...
  16. Tesla Adapter for Trip Next Month - A2Z / Lectron

I got the Lectron adapter two weeks ago. I haven't road tripped with it yet, but I tried it at a nearby Supercharger and it worked perfectly. I'd expected a bunch of issues removing the Tesla cable from it, from everything I've seen on here, but it came right out without any problems. I did...
  17. Garage Opener Button on Steering Wheel/Driver Display - Poof!

Happened to me, too. I went into my settings for the garage, deleted the location and reset that, and it came back. Something got borked with the recent OTA update.
  18. Drilling hole in hood?

Hah! Another R1T/Mini Convertible combo household! Our Mini is my wife's, it's her favorite car to date (although I do enjoy the few times she lets me drive it).
