LOL. Everyone in the many threads about infotainment problems is a non-owner. Gotcha. The videos showing all the problems are...AI?
Or...someone who has actually driven a Rivian would never defend the infotainment system.
Because you can solve and work around this problem. You cannot unfuck the Cybertruck, or make the stupid Lightning have less idiotic buttons and old-think design. There's no EV truck that's perfect, the Rivian is closest. The well documented problems with the infotainment can be mostly fixed...
LOL, we currently, and for the foreseeable future, have a bad infotainment system. There's been no sign of real progress. The latest "improvement" is garbage as seen in other threads here, and videos posted all over (here and elsewhere).
Your assumptions tell us a lot. First, there are a lot of them in EU, even though you supposedly can't get one here. Second, I'm half owner of an R1T with my business partner in the US. I get to drive it when I'm there. We installed a CP unit based on recommendations here (along with other...
Slightly more sane than whining about those posts, which have been happening for half a decade.
As do Rivians, a lot of them. You seem to assume that they can play media just because they exist.
This thread reminds me of the Cybertruck full of popcorn that I've seen posted here a few times.
It's amazing that people who have never used a great and fully integrated AA/CP system still seem to have a firm opinion on it. And then there are clowns like Toyota that basically just took the...
I run an add-on CarPlay unit that has all the normal features, no lag. But if you really care about sound quality, Apple Music with ATMOS directly on the main system is phenomenal.
I've had this happen a few times over the years. At one point, it was definitely being caused by the common AC compressor vibration issue, as it was 100% traced to pre-starting HVAC in summer. They did the TSB on this complaint, it stopped happening mostly. Meaning now, it happens once a...
It doesn't extend totally to the edge, but not very far in. I've only used it as an extender once, mostly it's a ramp. It was fiddly to set up, not to use. You just have to figure out which pieces work on the truck, and the length and locations of straps. Once you get it, then they stay put...
Same reason people think they can buy a best-selling, short-supply Toyota for 10% off. "Because I think so."
I read on this forum, long ago, a claim that Chase and Rivian have a deal for the lease returns to go to Rivian for resale.
Your new key is the Watch, and you have to set it up and use it inside the vehicle at least one time before you can do it remotely. In the security/keys/access you probably have a key showing a "set up" prompt (on the car display).
I have these and used one once for a pretty hard pull. It was fine.

They were recommended long ago by another forum member here, don't recall who.
Which is different from what OP said and hasn't followed up on that detail.
I also wonder whether phone models matter. Back when I had both an Android and an iPhone, I had more BT connection issues with the Android, by a lot. (It would just fail to connect when getting in the car, but not...
