Truck was back to 9.2kW when charging today. I'm guessing this must be a Duke Power thing and for some reason my charger was only pulling 220v (40x220=8800W)
Didn't budge once during the entire session. I even unplugged the truck, reset the charger via the breaker, then restarted charging. I guess I will see what happens when I charge this evening.
Anyone having displayed charge rate issues after the update? I have a 40amp Grizzl-e charger and my truck typically charges at 9.3kW, after the update the max was 8.8kW. I’m not too concerned because it’s still plenty quick enough for me. Could this just be displaying the energy going into the...
I'm the opposite from most of you here. I think Rivian should take full responsibility and bend over backwards to make this situation right. OP's truck fell off a lift and is effectively ruined, these trucks already depreciate extremely hard. Rivian should offer a new dual motor large pack...
I finally have a long tow with my bay boat to report back on. I have an Egret Moccasin 210, it's a 20'11" bay boat on an all aluminum low profile trailer. Total package should be around 2800lb's. For the South East, the 21' bay boat/flats boat is a very popular foot print.
My dog, 5 year...
To me the added time to charge isn't a big deal. I'm sure I will hear lot of grumbling from the wife and daughter about it since even my old trusty dusty 4Runner could make the trip without filling up.
That sucks, but I guess it is what it is. I was hoping since the boat sits quite low on the trailer it wouldn't have as much impact on aero drag. I need to just take some time out of a day and go tow on the highway for about 30 minutes each direction to get better data points. Either way, it's...
Yeah, I know about 2 superchargers on 40 headed that way. I’m just hoping to avoid charging while towing. It’s only 150 miles and the boat is light and kind of aerodynamic. I’m hoping if I just slow down to between 65-70mph I can make it just fine.
I traded my '24 Toyota Sequoia in for a '23 R1T quad motor with only 8000 miles about 3 weeks ago. There were a lot of reason for the switch, but I will just say that I will never own another American made Toyota (I owned a 4Runner for almost 13 years).
Now that the weather in NC is finally...
There are a couple 3rd party options and Rivian is beta testing one now. Just curious if any of yall purchased an extended warranty. I should have specified in my first post.
You didn't answer their question...Which port do you have? CCS or NACS? If you have a CCS there's just no way to plug the NACS into the port native port.
Wait...Did you use a NACS to CCS adapter instead of a NACS to J1772 adapter?
Simple matter of fact is yes, if you have a Rivian people are going to google, see the $100K price, and think you're rich. The same could be said for the F150 Raptors/Ram TRX/etc you see driving around, or when you see someone with that particular neighborhood private school bumper sticker (you...
