I find with Ford, it was better to walk into a dealership and build and hopefully get the truck on 3-months. That was what I had done but the truck was delayed for 2 months but I ended up getting a Lightning as another customer backed out.

I just checked and got my delivery window. It went from processing estimate to Jan-Jun 2024 delivery. Lol. I guess that service centre in Ontario is going to take some time to be built. I also noticed that Rivian refunded me the $1,000 USD deposit on Jan 31st.

It has. With a further $4k increase pending. Thankfully that wasn’t applied to my purchase. Nevertheless it was an expensive vehicle. This dealer gave me $9k extra for my trade-in vs the other dealer so it felt like I was saving money. Lol.

I own the title. There is no lien. I just had to agree to the non-export document.

Just to provide an update. I told the other dealer to F-off. Found a really nice dealer just outside the city. Amazing. Deal was done in 15 minutes and picked up the truck the next day. It's a beaut. Will wait now for the Rivian and figure out what works best for me. Thanks everyone for...

Good to hear. I still don’t think any significant deliveries will begin until March’ish. Ontario likely won’t start till Q4. Still no major progress on the service center building.

I'm going into an F-150 Lightning until the I get the Rivian in 2025. lol. My pre-order was May 2019.

So it was a banquet hall. Some pics I snapped. Was dark. The first 2 pics are looking inside. The others are some permits posted on the door. No sign of Rivian anywhere but the place is perfect for a service Centre. Tons of parking, loading dock and bay doors.

Actually it’s quite convenient for me. Lol. I’m at the 400/401 area. So it’s not far for me to hop on the 400 and be there within 15 mins barring traffic. Looks like it might end up being somewhere in the auto mall at Weston and 407. I'm actually dropping my son off to Hockey practice at Weston...

Just saw the updated Service Centre map and there is a service centre in the works in the Toronto area. Looks like it will be in the Woodbridge area - perhaps by the auto mall there.
