In this article from Car buzz with a R1S Tri they got the following (and noted times were independently confirmed and retested with a Racebox data recorder)
Launch: 2.86s
Sport: 3.04s
AP: 3.58s
Conserve: 4.51s
Looks like the built in Launch timer lines up pretty well with independent...
Curious, what is your Rivian reporting in terms of efficiency for one of these trips / charge cycles? Since the large pack is 108.5 kwh, the theoretical EPA efficiency is 3.04 mi/kwh. On my Tri, I can realistically get anywhere from low to high 2s. If I'm driving on a flat highway in conserve...
Actually, Google maps added planning based on specific vehicles and you can enter it in settings when route planning. I don't see specific SoC options but looks like it might be integrated soon as it has range information. Android auto is able to communicate with vehicles to a certain extent as...
I'll give that a try too and report back.
Have you tried actually putting your ear near the speaker on the door to hear what's coming out? It's a little tricky to do if you want to do it with the door closed but pretty easy if you get out and listen with the door open (though the vehicle...
I've noticed that the speakers in the front door (gen 2 R1S Tri, premium sound) are only outputting low end sounds and almost no midrange or higher. This is different than the speakers in the rear door which are outputting low and midrange frequencies and the highs are being produced by a...
Just looked at your timed thread-- does the G1 QM have a built in timer? If so, do you also have time data from those runs? It would be interesting to compare so we can get an idea of the difference between the timing methods.
I took delivery of my Storm Blue R1S Tri about a month ago but had not found the right time to try launch mode.
Today, I drove a buddy around in my car and needed to put the car through its paces so I found a place... and we launched!
First, the stats: as in the title of the post, I hit 60...
I just got this exact same spec'd R1S last Saturday and it's awesome, congratulations!
I might make a separate similar post soon but I essentially agree with everything that was said.
I just saw that IIHS released new crash test ratings and it looks like the Gen 2 R1Ss are the only large SUV to earn the top rating. Also, the R1Ts kept their top rating as well.

CORRECTED TABLE BELOW
Ok, I think I did miss part of the sales tax for Scenario #4 only but it's fully accounted for in Scenarios 1-3.
What's missing is adding the monthly sales tax in for the remaining 35 lease payments at $116.37 for the early buyout. I think my organization of the table...
Hey Everyone,
I've seen lots of discussions comparing leasing to buying but I haven't seen many examples with specific math comparing the options considering the lease is the only way to get the $7500 EV credit. To decide between leasing and buying my Storm Blue R1S Trimax in California, I...
I'm at a stage before these details are shared so I was hesitant to move forward with the process with, what looks like, the wrong vehicle price. In none of the disclosures I can see does it state that the destination charge is added on to the vehicle price and not itemized. I'm also confused...
I'm just going through lease terms tonight and noticed that the vehicle price used for the lease ($110,200) did not match the vehicle price in the transaction summary ($108,400) nor the vehicle price (also 108400) if I click on the financing option.
Anyone run into this situation or know...
That will be a great choice too, but the website is saying there's still a chance they'll deliver Slate Sky in October even though it's already November. Excited to see how they pull this off.
