Sure, totally. I’ll do the same, and pay for a month of Tesla membership if I know I’m going to have to use Tesla at least twice during the month. Though since IONNA has started spreading, I’ve rarely had to actually do that. I use their chargers in Kansas fairly often.
All else being equal...
I have a Comma 3X with the basic harness (Rivian A). It sounds like in order to get angle-based steering, I’ll need to upgrade to a Comma 4 as well as install a new harness? I assume the longitudinal upgrade is still required for the Comma to take over longitudinal control? Or does the new...
The Grizzl-e mini doesn’t have pigtails. It just has a 14-50 plug, and comes with a number of adapters. (I don’t recall if the TT-30 adapter came with it, or if I had to order it separately.) so if you use an adapter for a lower amperage socket, you need to manually adjust the max amperage it...
I’ve got a Grizzl-e mini, or whatever they call it, which came with a bunch of adapters, including the TT-30.
The main thing is to make sure you adjust your max amperage if you’re using an adapter, so you don’t try and pull 50A from a 30A circuit.
Let me know! One’s already sold, and another is hopefully about to. I’ll keep this thread updated as any more sell. Looks like you’re in PA? I’d be willing to meet you part way, if there’s a spot that’s convenient to us both.
I’ve gotten a ton of positive responses to it and questions about it from other Rivian owners, and even people driving ICE trucks (huh, that’s a bit loaded now…). When I was just in the Glen Burnie, MD service center, all the guys there like it, too, and expressed surprise that they’d shut down...
Well, it hardly seems to matter, as the Wakeshield website has been offline for a while, so I'm guessing they're gone for good now, but as I just put a new set of tires on my R1T, I figured I might as well post the efficiency graphs I got before and after installing the Wakeshielf on the...
Right, so the answer is: it depends. What temperature you're starting at, how far/long it will take to get to the charger, how much of a charge you need, how much time you can/must spend once you get there. If you're in a hurry, a warm battery absolutely makes a difference, but if you're...
It’s definitely worth it, in the right conditions. We usually spend the winter in New Mexico, where we have a home charger, but this winter were in Baltimore where we don’t, and it was a ridiculously uncharacteristically cold winter. I rarely saw my battery temperature get above 20°, even with...
Well, that’s now @Box15 and @Calientecarros both interested in a single wheel/tire, so I think if nobody wants to make an offer on all four by Wednesday, I’ll start selling them off one by one!
