The 400+ mile R1S isn’t a sure thing at this point. They specifically use longer range wording for the R1S instead of 400+ like they do for the R1T. There is a lot of speculation they can’t fit a large enough pack while keeping 7 seats. It’s possible they keep delaying until cell density...
Really tough choice. The white R1S looks awesome but will show dirt more than any other color. I really like the truck in silver and want to see it on the R1S
It will be tough to decide between white, LA silver, and El Cap Granite. I’m hoping I can see them in person, even if I have to drive to...
I love Tesla, and have one, but it’s rare to get more than 75% of range on the highway. And I mean 100-0% range, not just usable. The key to me is what is the actual range on the highway. Around town range really doesn’t matter due to charging at home. If Rivian can be more like the Taycan which...
I added 35% ceramic tint to my model 3 glass roof and have never felt heat from the sun come through at all. I only had it for a week without the added tint so don’t remember what that was like. Not sure why the S would be different but if it’s an older one maybe Tesla improved. I really like...
Interesting, I didn’t realize that. So long as it’s 300+ with the 22” wheels I’ll be happy enough. My model 3 is just over 290 now with degradation and it is not an issue. I won’t be towing.
My main concerns with Rivian are not range related, it’s everything else like the UI, FSD/driver...
And battery tech and cell density has only improved so I’m optimistic it will be 10% added for 330 in total. Model X is up to 371 miles with a 100 kwh pack. It is a much more aerodynamic design and Tesla motor efficiency seems to be way ahead of everyone else, but I don’t think 330 miles with...
Is the thought that they will maybe squeeze 150 or 165 kwh pack into the 7 seater? I would be ok with this and suspect the 165 could get close to 400 miles with the right wheels and tires. Maybe a 20” low rolling resistance all season.
