My issue was resolved as well when service found that the driver side window had been incorrectly installed. Ended up not being the triangle glass either.
Just got a call from the SC yesterday and they stated that the wind noise is "within tolerance." I'm not super pleased with that response. Guess I'll just open up another service ticket right away when it comes back. Seems silly that Rivian hasn't found and approved a fix for this to push out to...
Las Vegas SC has had my R1t for three days for several minor issues. One of those issues was excessive wind noise from the driver and passenger side windows near the smaller triangle piece. A common issue as far as I've seen around the forum.
How many other folks have had their truck in for...
I hate myself for doing this btw. But I find it somewhat amusing that you state that you hesitated to talk about this and stir the “negativity” pot… but then posted the title in all CAPS haha.
On a serious note, I think it’s definitely an issue that needs to be addressed. Thanks for posting!
Definitely is a concern. Not a great place to put a potentially fragile plastic piece. It’s one of the most often articulated levers on the truck for sure.
I haven’t noticed that either. But I charge with the Rivian portable charger on a 14-50 plug… I wonder if it keeps kicking on and off to stay at 70% and isn’t trickle charging after hitting the desired charge level?
Happened to me as well the other day. A reset of the infotainment fixed it. I’m out in Southern Nevada and I think the extreme heat has been giving the truck a little trouble. Most of my issues like that seem to occur later in the afternoon when the truck has been sitting outside.
I could drive over I suppose. But what I'd really like is for there to be at least some form of contact at the local level. Seems like the local service centers are the weak link in the service chain right now.
Anyone in the Vegas area have any form of contact from the Las Vegas service center? I have about 8 open service requests (some dating back to the end of May) and have been able to get into contact with Rivian support just fine. Nothing from the actual service center though.
Does anyone know if the portable charger pulls a lot of energy if its just plugged into the wall? I recently had a NEMA 14-50 outlet installed and have been pulling it out of the outlet during the day when I'm not charging my truck. Wasn't sure if I was wasting my time doing that or not...
I appreciate the advice - I'm selling my truck to my younger brother (at a significant discount, despite how angry my wife is about that haha). I'd probably would have saved around 2-3k on the tax incentive alone with a trade in. But I'm in a position to help out family.
It is an Adventure... not sure how the whole process works. I'll let you guys know when I hear more - hopefully today. I'm assuming with a VIN assigned it can't be too far out but who knows. Sorry to hear that you've been waiting so much longer. I'd be totally frustrated as well.
That’s my worry - trying to sell a truck that I need as a daily driver while basing all of my decisions off of a delivery date which may not be accurate.
9/21 Pre-order date. Limestone, black interior. I’ve been assigned a guide and started the 8 step process. I’m showing an assigned VIN but I need to sell my current truck. I have no idea how fast/slow I need to do that process. What’s everyone been averaging once you have a VIN assigned?
I haven’t made it that far on the steps but I’m in the same boat. I’m selling my truck privately but also need a car for work so I need to know a delivery timeframe before I can sell.
