I love the frunk! We pick up carry-out two to three times a week and before my R1T, my previous truck would smell like pizza, Thai food, French fries, whatever, all week long. Now I just pop the hood and put it all in the frunk.
That said, make sure you use recycled air or don’t pop the hood...
I love Cvalue13’s remarks in that CT forum about the CT being retro futuristic rather than futuristic and giving many examples of the Italian designs during the “Wedge” era of the late 60s and the early 70s. Thanks, SSteveEV!
Looks like they made a couple changes. I used to have it set to North and 2D, not it defaults to 3D whenever I open the map, but it goes to 2D when you hit recenter. Strange.
Received my tonneau on Friday, 12/15, and installed it. It looks great, thank you! I’ll post some pics later this week (it’s raining and very cloudy and dark here today).
The Rivian manual tonneau is not water tight, some water will get in (there’s a review on YouTube that shows this). I just ordered the Tail Lidz one but am waiting for delivery so I cannot say how effective it is.
No worries! Was just curious. I just submitted an order and am looking forward to finally having covered storage in the back for family trips! Thank you!
I was literally going to buy the Lomax cover right now and came on the forum to find the best contact and came across this. This looks very appealing. Brian, were you able to get the videos you were planning to upload? Also, are the edges raw aluminum?
Typically, the air coming out of car vents is over 100 degrees. This is because if you want to set the temp at 78, you’re not battling the heat loss from all the windows. Also, 80 degree dry air feels waaaaay cooler (evaporation an’ all) than 80 degree air that’s got 30% humidity.
My thermal camera shows that the temp inside the vent is 83 degrees F. My fingertips were around 77 at the time which explains why the air doesn’t feel hot, just cool, barely warm. Also, it’s conditioned air so it’s dry air which feels cooler than humid air.
I’m sitting in my R1T right now, it’s 27 degrees F tonight in Ellicott City and I’ve had the heat set to HI while I’ve been driving around for 10 minutes and the vents have been blowing cool (not cold but definitely not hot) air on me. I’ll pull my thermal camera when I get back home and get an...
I had the Lomax on my previous truck and it was really good but did end up leaking after I took it off for two days. Plus, it won’t work with the bars on the truck bed. That all said, I’ll go with the lomax if the other two leak off from day one.
Has anyone seen any posts or videos showing the results of water tests performed on the Rivian (and maybe Interrobang) manual tonneau covers? I’ve been looking around, pretty thoroughly (at least I think pretty thoroughly) and haven’t come across any.
Which location? I went to Gaithersburg and the Enterprise there gave me the worst rental I’ve ever had in my life, a Nissan Versa with cigarette burns, dog hair, dents and visible rust. I swapped today for a Cherokee (also not Grand), still undesirable but better. Did you have to pay extra?
I dropped my R1T off yesterday for intermittent “limited performance enabled” and was given the worst rental I have ever had, a 2021 Nissan Versa with 55,000 miles, a cigarette burn in between my legs on the driver seat, dents and scratches everywhere and dog hair. Enterprise said it was the...
I’m wondering if anyone who has this loose charge port door, are they noticing the door closing on top of their headlight, especially on hot days or in the sun?
Same here, I hear the AC compressor/fan when I first get in and feel the vibration in my accelerator pedal (hardly ever use brake pedal anymore so I can’t say). I took delivery in November 2022. I have a service appt in Sept, I’ll try to add this to the ticket.
