  1. Has anyone taken the bed apart?

Yep, have done this as well. The inner structure of the bed side might not actually allow access to the crease where that dent occurred. Sure a talented PDR pro could set it right. My first R1T came with a few dents that I never bother to fix. I found it was actually liberating not to have to...
  2. Florida 4 x 21" wheels with garbage tires $500

FWIW, I have picked up 9 extra 21" rims and tires on the cheap over the past year since so many owners are switching to alternative sizes. You may have better luck selling those as viable spares for R1T owners with 21s.
  3. What’s your go-to camp kitchen cooking setup? 🍳

We've been on the road camping for the past 3 weeks. Took the trusty Coleman propane stove, but also grabbed an induction burner and small air fryer from our sailboat. Have to say that the air fryer has been a surprising game changer this trip, allowing us to actually broil and bake. @Budman ...
  4. Discount Tire no longer raising all 4 tires due to safety concerns?

Just had a tire repaired at Discount in Albuquerque this morning (a slow leak from a Phillips screw that has been in there for months). I mentioned that we came to DT because they were trained on how to jack up Rivians. Offered them the use of my pucks. Asked that they only jack the one corner...
  5. Key Card Replacement = $80

I purchased 2 additional key cards for my gen 1 R1T last year. Walked into the local service center and bought them as a part. $60 a piece. No technician programming required since I have a key fob already.
  6. 🎉 NEW 🎉 RMaxx Heavy Duty Brush / Bull Bars for Rivian R1T / R1S Front Grille and Rear Bumper - EV Sportline

I had similar question. Copying here the product description text from EV Sportline site. Seems pretty solid. Rear bar appears to require modifications that would not make it removable without damage. I really like these. Would be perfect if they had mount points for a winch and lights. -----...
  7. Rivian Planning $9.9 Million Parts Distribution Center at Intermodal Logistics Center in Fort Worth Texas

I don't know what this has to do with competing with Tesla in Texas. There are certainly issues with parts distribution to service centers and independent garages, to say nothing of the logistics mess that is the Rivian gear store. $9.9M seems a fairly small investment to set up a logistics...
  8. 12v Lead Acid Battery Replacement

Hmm... I guess that's also why they call Rivians "adventure vehicles". Admire your attitude @SwampNut !
  9. 12v Lead Acid Battery Replacement

Based on my experience, I would take that 12v error as a warning. Now is a good time to make sure you have another 12v source handy (i.e., not in the frunk) that you can use to "jump" your Rivy and get going. Beats having it towed.
  10. Official Rivian Amazon Store

Amazon prices are actually higher than Rivian gear shop on the items I inspected. Hard pass.
  11. 12v Lead Acid Battery Replacement

I also have a single Ohmmu in my 2023 gen 1 R1T. I bought my truck from salvage so am not covered by warranty. Beginning in September, I started getting "12v Failure, tow vehicle" errors. The first time was when driving on the freeway; it did allow me to continue driving for 2 miles to a safe...
  12. Left Panel Missing from Driver Display

Just some weirdness yesterday morning... No map on my driver's display. Steering wheel buttons do not cycle other options. I do notice that, when signaling, the video side mirror view does display. ADAS warnings and audio volume displays also do not show up. Persisted overnight, but resolved...
  13. First Aid Kit - upgrade to kit contents required

I just have a trauma kit in my go bag, stored in the lower frunk. No need to be restricted by the Rivian form factor or to pay those gear shop premiums.
  14. Colorado SOLD - 21" R1 Wheels and Tires

I'd be delighted to buy those from you. I won't be in the area until next month, but I have a niece in Denver and can ask her husband to collect them at your convenience.
  15. WTB: 20" wheels/tires - Central Texas

I'm located in San Marcos, but frequently travel to Austin, San Antonio and Corpus Christi.
  16. Easy Charging networks besides Rivian and Tesla

You should know that your Costa for Tesla plug-and-charge are significantly higher than if you have a Tesla subscription and use the app to initiate. I have had plug-and-charge with EVGo (now mostly GM branded), but it is not tied into RAN so you do have to download their app and use a credit...
  17. Jim Cramer Warns Against Buying Rivian Shares, Questions Georgia Investment

Yep. I bought at $10.03 and have been happy so far. Sorry for those who bought at the IPO price.
  18. Jim Cramer Warns Against Buying Rivian Shares, Questions Georgia Investment

It seems to be a bit of a contrarian investment strategy. In other words, don't buy after the good news and the price goes up. However, that assumes the price will come down. I don't think that is a given.

  20. 22" Inch Michelin - Defender LTX M/S2 115 vs 119 @ Costco

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what would be the difference between the 115 and 119 load index versions? Would one expect differences in wear, ride quality, efficiency?
