The issue is elsewhere - the new batches of the adhesive (which is Nano Tape by the way) seem thinner and have less surface to hold on to. I've redesigned this to make the adhesive "channels" shallower, just shoot me an email with your order # and I will send you a replacement.
Thanks for sharing your experience, and credit to you for noting upfront that you didn't have controlled measurements — that actually matters a lot here, because what you're describing is expected behavior rather than a sign the film isn't working.
The film is designed to reduce the solar...
I can confirm - we increased the cord length so no more extension cords. But the cord still comes from the bottom, not the back for now. The back coming cord is trickier and will require more time and a larger batch to achieve, as it requires redesign of the entire thing, including the PCB.
Wow that's awesome!!!! Thanks so much for sharing!
And why didn't I think of using my hose for the PPF application 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ Brilliant!
PS For the windshield - notice that in about 1-2 weeks from now (weather dependent) it will look better than the first day post install...there is curing...
Thanks! I already sent it to @JimD for testing... I think it's still in transit though.
As for getting this issue fixed - yes, demonstrate to Rivian that trying to charge a MacBook blows the e-fuse and remind them (as they argue!) that as per Rivian's own specs that's supposed to be a PD3 67W...
We do have a new version of this:
https://twraps.com/products/dashboard-phone-mount-for-rivian-r1t-r1s
Only the bottom left of the phone screen is blocked for me, nothing else. But that also depends on seat position, wheel position, your own body size and posture as well as phone size and angle.
Hey folks
We're testing a new Qi2.2 25W per puck version of our Dual MagSafe charger (that goes over the OEM one) and I need someone with a Gen2 that has the faulty USB-C issue where if you try to charge something more powerful (like a laptop) it trips the e-fuse.
If you have that issue please...
No, they only help reduce heat coming from the outside sunshine due to reflective coating in the film. The heat generated inside will escape just the same in the winter.
To be honest, if you hit it hard with ski (or similar hard object) I don't think that will necessarily prevent cracking... basically this would be an extra layer of protection but not going to make things bullet proof. One other approach is to see if there are MOLLE panels or similar that can be...
I've seen it! :)

This is made with the same material we use for our windshield & sunroof protection film.
Sorry for the late response, somehow I've missed this!
No, we no longer use the older chargers, these are completely new thing - new case, new magnets, new PCB, new coils and cords etc...
When I have some free time (looking at my schedule, that would be in about 17 years), I plan on making a wrap for the entire aero cover so you can change the color. That would be uber cool, and perhaps then it would make sense to make some fun combos like Rivian did.
