I've thought about doing the same thing, but I hardly ever need the extra range. I wish it would automatically pull from the charger vs battery for any needs while still plugged in.
One thing I've noticed is that when I preheat at home while plugged in, the charger doesn't kick back on. So the preheating while plugged in doesn't matter as it doesn't pull power from the wall....
I decided against another set of wheels mainly due to the fast tire wear. The cost difference would take forever to get back when I would have to pull the tires off every two seasons anyway
I'm just having them swap tires. Based off everything I've read, the tires probably wont last more than 2-3 seasons, so the cost difference wouldn't make it worth it.
I put on 20" Blizzaks last week here in Minnesota. We've had snow all week, with Monday being quite slippery for other vehicles. I slid slightly when under 6mph or really hammering the throttle. I would advise feathering the throttle as stated above.
Have anymore picture of the back of this mount or how it looks with the phone in place? Trying to figure out how to make it work with my peak design charger
I put 20" Blizzaks on Friday. They are cheaper than the AT tires, so its almost like I'm saving money!
I thought it handled pretty decent yesterday, there was a small amount of sliding when coming to a complete stop due to the regen, but overall it seemed good.
I would advise buying the jack...
Love this setup with the peak design mount. I just need to find a ball mount I could fix to the back of the peak design without buying another charger....
EDIT: This doesn't work...
Just a heads up. I just received a call from the service center (Minneapolis) where my R1T is getting looked at. They brought in my truck to wash it and did so with hot water. They noticed the light bar cracked after washing, most likely from the cold plastic and hot washing water. It might...

I can try and get some better pictures tonight, but I kept the cross bars mounted to the tent so its easy to move on and off
Found it in the DMV system at least. But math says at least 4-5 weeks to wait.
