I think the right set of 18's with 33s will actually fit on the R2. These ones didn't have the right bolt pattern, so weren't gonna fit anyway, but I got them pretty centrally located and there's still clearance between the caliper in the front.
Now I just have to figure out what to buy to do a...
They are load cells, work like the haptic wheels do, but there's no feedback to them. It might've been nice for them to be haptic and have actual feedback that they were activated though.
GOAT Fabrication will sell their sliders without the top plate on them. Most people opt for the top plate. Only photo I have is from when we were doing the very early prototyping.
Gives Rivian a reason to not warranty driveline/suspension components that are affected by this change. I wouldn't put anything like this on your car without being willing to take that chance. I know people like to bring up Magnuson-Moss about modifications, but there's quite a few things that...
They are trying to push you into a sale before the end of the quarter, which means tomorrow is the last day. I'd want to get it in writing that they'll still include whatever discounts you're getting on the car you want once the quarter ends.
Pretty much anywhere I stop with my Sierra has been 800V, with Tesla being the most notable exception. And I wouldn't have stopped there if there were reasonable alternatives. 150kW at 400V is still faster than 50kW at 800V.
Rivian stations have all been happy to push 300kW into my Sierra for...
Hadn't seen this posted anywhere. I got an e-mail on Saturday titled "Next step for your R2 reservation". I do indeed have the option of picking any day in the next two weeks instead of just the next day. I highly suspect this is a pre-cursor to getting the actual order invitation, since my...
Same deal with the spare tire bay in the R1T. The hinges only open up to about 45 degrees naturally. If you are storing stuff in there, it's perfect. It'll open the full 90 degrees if you push on it to be able to get a spare out.
Lol. I mean the obvious issue here is that people who don't like one pedal didn't learn fine motor skills as a child. They are probably miserable to ride with in any vehicle.
I ordered June 16th, got a VIN and email about my vehicle going through final quality checks yesterday, got most of my steps completed. Then yesterday evening, got a call from Rivian stating that my vehicle was already at the SC and I just got matched to it. Picking it up Monday (29th).
I think...
There are quite a few that aren't just in the middle of a parking lot. I'd say this station is more the exception that you might be somewhat okay being on the wrong side.
Of the Stations I have been to, Traverse City has normal stations on the other side. Grayling has the power equipment and...
Granted I won't be able to tow this trailer with my R2, but I don't think I will mind where it's at that much. It'd make using the Rivian pull thrus impossible if it were on the other side.
You'll be happy to know that I got a call telling me my R2 was already at the service center and ready for me to take delivery. Monday is the day. Guessing it was a vehicle that got re-assigned from someone cancelling.
