Agree. All my previous cars were ICE and what I drove off the lot was what I got for the life of the car. This is my first EV. Every update is X'mas day for me!
I got 2 flats within the first month of getting my R1. Had to replace one tyre and patch the other one. Got tyre insurance and the spare tyre kit and haven't had a flat since!
OP-My R1S is a '23 and the estimated range is closer to others posted it should be. Yours seems low. Your miles are very low.
Wonder if an "abused" car has battery degradation?
There are people here that took there Rivians to Europe. Can't remember the gent that has three in Hawaii. The R2 is not first generation because it is a result of learning on the R1. I have a '23 R1S. No major issues. I would do it without any hesitation but I am not risk averse. All the best.
Yes, as long as you have a wife that doesn't complain about the 911 being too low or too noisy and you complicate matters with constant speeding tickets. Life is complicated (j/k). Cheers.
Love the R1. It's my first EV. No arguments on the execution. But, I find myself missing my old 911. The sound of that engine is a part of my childhood because my dad owned one. I miss the stick shift as well. I could fit my golf clubs in the frunk and I still had room to fit my sunglasses in...
I'm offended because that's exactly what my wife sounds like (j/k).
Anyone bothered by an AI voice has a blessed life. I'm too busy worrying about all the other things in the world.
Shipping mode doesn't matter now that you have the car. What matters most is testing normal operations day-to-day to see what the usage is. "Normal" is about 1% per day.
Congrats on the new R1! As others have pointed out-do both. Call and get all the issues you have identified listed and get a comprehensive service so they can look at everything. All the best.
Seems to be much better than what my friends text me. Punctuation? Forget that, they don't even bother with proper grammar.
As far as wind direction-can it tell if that's external or internal? j/k
I just got this as well. I've been on the fence because my commute is about 5 miles round trip and I bike to work half the time. I'll try it out and see. I'm at the point of my life where I have lost count of subscriptions and just dont want to add more but $150/year is cheap.
I've camped in the R1 once with just a sleeping bag. That was fine. If I wanted/needed a mattress I'd go all the way with something like a Hastens. j/k.
