Exactly... and the make up of the remaining 17% may largely be those who were able to secure the previous price before it went up yesterday. Having thought about it more over night, if the poll results were in fact to reflect reality more broadly (it likely does not), being in that 17% isn't...
As a 2018 reservation holder, I snuck in under the price increase and therefore am the 1/6(!) voting to keep my reservation at the moment. Over the last many months as car/truck prices have become crazy stupid, the R1T felt more and more like a bargain to me. Last month I was contemplating what...
It's happening!! Real customer deliveries, here we go... got a text from my guide and am in the same window - indicated 4-6 weeks 'conservatively'. 'Goal is to get you into your vehicle well before that'. Got the preliminary buyer's agreement before hearing from him, but wonder if he tried to...
In the Seattle Times today.... --> "The fate of a $100 million proposal by Gov. Jay Inslee to dramatically expand incentives for Washington residents to purchase electric vehicles remains uncertain as legislators scrutinize it.
House and Senate legislators are deciding if, and in what form, to...
I lived in AZ at the time and there were a couple of people in my area that had the EV1. I remember being fascinated by that vehicle and it probably turned me on to electric cars... and then GM turned me off of GM by what followed.
In the early 2000s, I knew a guy at work who bought a Corbin...
The last time I reached out for an update from my Guide was two months ago. Seeing that windows might be getting more precise, I reached out again recently and got what I perceived to be a slightly irritated response.... kinda like, 'don't call me, I'll call you' when I know anything.
Given...
Well, Qmerit just refunded the $149 I put down on the Rivian wall charger installation back in September. I hope they just lost patience or have an automatic refund mechanism, and are not prognosticating about my likelihood of getting an R1T in the near future! ?
I have a '06 Ridgeline and the ability to create an open flat(-ish) floor is so much more useful than having plastic storage bins. I can flip the smaller seat up and my old labrador retriever has flat space to lay down while still being able to carry two passengers. The R1T has a little more leg...
Being upset was my visceral first reaction.
I defensively assumed it was a (hungry) employee who was test driving and that made me feel better. Definitely a safer response than instructing my 16 year-old to go and stalk the person ordering food at a drive thru late in the evening. Though the...
SeaGeo: Dude... I appreciate your optimism! I had optimism last night when I saw one at my local Jack in the Box. And again when I saw an R1T driving north on 405 this evening. Can't wait to have more sightings (particularly with me at the wheel).
I'm a March-April 2022 ETA as well... fingers crossed! (#3440, 12/7/2018, Launch Green, Black Mountain, North Seattle area)
Last night was a dreary PNW sort of night... super dark - and dark early, blustery, raining sideways, roads were absolute crap. At 8:45pm, I told my 16 year-old that it...
Out of my price range and don't quite trust GM with their whole history in the EV space, but dig the return of the mid-gate! Also, this is going to be the most efficient EV truck on the market based on the images of their dash... 22.2 mi/kWh! ?
After today's email, I was left wondering about the 1000 R1Ts supposed to be delivered in 2021 according to the IPO... will *all* of these go to employees then? (or priviledged non-employees)
On my test drive last weekend, there were enough features locked out that made me wonder if everything...
I feel the same way -- I am happy with the existing enclosed storage and Tonneau covers (powered or otherwise) are not attractive to me on a pickup. If I could delete the Tonneau, I would. If not, I will probably just keep it retracted 100% of the time.
So... I did *not* drive the Launch Green, but a white R1T this morning. It was #34 or 35 according to the VIN. Can't remember exactly which, I was too excited to see it drive up. Apparently, some rando was excited about it too... she followed the Rivian rep into my neighborhood, parked her car...
So awesome...! Thanks for sharing...
It is Christmas morning for me... hoping Santa is bringing me Launch Green at 10am. And, like a little kid, I was up at like 4:30am thinking about opening my presents...
If true, 40% is a pretty big hit due to heat/AC relative to what I've experienced with the EVs I've owned. That said, it has a big cabin space and I wonder if the heat / AC is not localized enough and trying to heat/cool the whole cabin. For me in the PNW, year round, using heat/AC is mostly all...
I'm kinda partial to the Snohomish route... that valley has some nice open roads that you could have fun on.
Why are you heading to the Electrify America charging station off I5?
